Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 18, 2019 9:46 am My house is in completion stage and the brickwork (PGH Blue Steel Flash) color is appearing in Brown/Purple tone rather than Blue/Grey tone . During the brick selection, I've visited few houses in the address list given by PGH for Blue Steel Flash and they were having Blue/Grey as dominant color. So I chosen it. I am wondering what went wrong in my brickwork? I emailed PGH with the same question but no response from them yet. The first image is in my neighbor suburb which was built with -Blue Steel Flash - and second image was mine -under construction. Why there is a significant difference with the color tone? Sometimes it’s the accent colours that change the tone of bricks, they have a large white feature and white windows. YOu could always take a few of your leftover bricks to PGH and compare to their display Re: Is it really - PGH Blue Steel Flash Brick ? 4Jan 18, 2019 6:02 pm What I have noticed with my bricks (Selkirk Thunderstorm) is that they can look very different in various light. I have also found that my bricks don't photograph very well, they always look more brown. I agree with gogo65 with comparing a spare brick. I believe the problem was because either this multi-colored bricks was not blended while laying or some problem with brick itself. The builder offered to fix it with Nawkaw. And John from Nawkaw did a wonderful job by straining and made the facade to look much better. I was told Nawkaw guarantee for this metallic strain for 30 years. Re: Is it really - PGH Blue Steel Flash Brick ? 8Sep 18, 2019 9:47 am I remember when we chose our brick for our last house that we went around the brick centre and I really liked one, but I didn't like the one next to it. They were actually the same brick but they had different colour mortar. It made them look completely different. Maybe you have ended up with a darker colour mortar. do not pay until you are satisfied with workmanship windows require flashing over the head archithrave and up under weatherboards 3 28360 0 1784 Hi I am wanting some opinions about the build of a steel shed I am going to get one about 4.5 x 2.5 m steel shed and the height will be about 2.3-2.4m high The one I am… 0 14557 |
