To get one not working on new house is pretty unlucky? I guess I have to check that too during handover. Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Landscaping 1227Dec 12, 2018 6:21 am Kimmykim Anyway now we have our gas meter so just waiting for cert of occupancy , appliances and some other things M has to fix/redo/replace. Hope it all works out as have heaps to do. https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=ht ... are_type=t Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Landscaping 1228Dec 12, 2018 8:06 am excited_builders I cant believe that it was brand new and broken....as some things you can't check at handover easily. This seems to be a different issue (fan motor) and was pushed through as an urgent repair. At least its a warranty fix. My service list is growing longer by the day. Seems the painters didnt bother to cover the floors when they did the touch-ups and we have paint everywhere. On the carpet on the stairs and upstairs, all over the laminate, the glass of the front door, multiple door handles and on the tiles in the bathroom Stair railings also have paint all over them. Theres also grout crumbling out of the bathroom floor. The paint is the worst part of the build, that and the 15 day "support" where we couldn't even get them to give us more than one key to the house, as they had the house keyed to a single key, rather then the owners pack... It's like they didnt bother to cover anything when they did the repaint; it was clean at inspection (but the paint work was terrible) and now there is paint everywhere. It's so lazy. Hopefully theyll clean/replace any affected flooring as its really bad in places, and I'm not scrubbing paint off anything myself. We got so many keys its not funny; Lockwood keys, southern star keys, window keys. Theres also weird patches in the paint, like a perfect square on one wall thats not quite right. Still no word on when they are going to fix our data point either, though we should finally have working aircon tomorrow (just in time for the hotter days fortunately). Paints everywhere after the inspection. 😓 Re: Metricon Winchester 28- Landscaping 1233Dec 22, 2018 3:07 pm Finally got our dishwasher hooked up today, and our washing machine connected to the waste water pipe. Husband is installing the toilet roll holders as we speak. And we did a big tip run with all the cardboard so the garage is starting to reappear.
