My thinking is, if this space is reduced, how much room do you need so you can return the WIR shelves to the bedroom wall (in a U shape?) I’d think 900 shelf to shelf would be sufficient? Maybe ask your builders designer as they’d have some standard dimensions. Hope this helps! So we have a feature wall at the head of our bed and the robes are behind that. Keeps the clothes away from the steam from the bathroom etc and you get to keep your bigger ensuite. Maybe something like that is an option? Re: Help with house plan in particular master bedroom, walk i 10Dec 11, 2018 10:04 am On that most recent drawing, can you (*) have double cavity-sliders installed to the Master rather than that little-door-big-door arrangement, (*) get rid of that little alcove in the Master which only exists to open a door into (ie. make the Master rectangular), (*) shorten the corridor so that the linen moves a lot closer to the stairs, (*) make the linen door open towards the corridor so you don't lose a heap of swinging-door space in the linen; and then you'll have a big space behind the linen AS WELL AS where the aforementioned alcove used to be, allowing the ensuite to be bigger (or - preferably - allowing more storage &/or WIR &/or getting-dressed space).
