Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 13302Nov 11, 2018 8:06 am One You can demolish at any time but if your bank has any interest( mortgage) in your current property typically you would need to wait until finance is approved to demolish. How long did your demolition company say that will take to demolish your place? Your constructions plans will be done after demolition because they will recheck your levels etc. Sorry what I meant by you still have const plans and end panel to go is there is a lot of dead time between demolition and site start. As said before if you see something suitable to rent I would lock it in. Thanks again manhattan52 About 2 days.
Wow One super quick. Good luck in your rental search! Amazing, Jenifermarie!!! Great styling! May I ask which floor tile that is and where you got the custom dining table from? Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 13305Nov 11, 2018 2:50 pm jqcc0 One @One Is full height tiling an upgrade by any chance? Or is it in your package? The full height tiling is an upgrade which has been charged, but the additional cleaning fee just snuck in without explanation. I am going to query then. Thanks everyone. I think the cleaning fee is in the de Lorenzo fine print which then gets added around the DEP.
There is something in the Di Lorenzo fine print about them not being responsible for cleaning and to speak to Wisdom. However, I just assumed cleaning would be included in the full house clean. I wonder why some have been charged a fee and others have not. We have it included so I do expect the cleaning of the full height to also be included. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 13309Nov 11, 2018 7:49 pm Random question - anyone have photos of the recessed Gas HWS that Wisdom use? Is it full face or half face cover and is it painted? Both of mine are placed in unfortunate places and I want to see if it’s worth the hassle of moving at least 1. Just about to sign off the electrical plan, we have made soooooo many changes that we’re now scared to sign off in case we’ve missed something. Everything else re: Canvas Quarters has been submitted. We found a couple of minor errors and details needing correction in our colour and kitchen schedules, got them amended but not sure if they would have caused problems down the track. No phone call from CSR this week but was told last week that council would look at our submission this week. Will ring council next week. Getting a little anxious as we tentaobooked our demo for next month which was 3 months post submission but we may need to move it. Not sure if Site Demolition charge a fee to move the date. Where are you up to? I think Site Demolition will be cool with that. I know I changed my date about 5 times due to delays.Eapecially because they work close with Wisdom they will be aware of this. We have our underground water tank sitting on the pad and Piering can’t start until it’s moved. Hopefully it’s moved Monday. If so slab is scheduled to be poured next Saturday. Our SS is awesome and communicates everything so extremely happy with that. Thanks Manhattan52. This is the clause in the demo paperwork that worries me: “PLEASE NOTE; If you wish to postpone this date, Site Demolition Pty Ltd requires you to notify us within 21 working days of the booking start date to avoid any disconnections and planning preparations, a fee of $1,100.00+gst will apply.” Also, what has everyone done with regard to Sediment Control? Looks Fabulous-what fridge do you have? The fridge is a new one from Electrolux - EHE6899SA There is a black stainless steel version too but we felt like we had enough black happening already and it matched the oven. The only issue I have with it is the doors are extremely deep (about 10cm) so we have to have it sticking out of the cavity a long way. We could push it in further but it limits the range of the doors, then we can’t get into the ice maker bin and the crisper drawers can’t be fully opened. Amazing, Jenifermarie!!! Great styling! May I ask which floor tile that is and where you got the custom dining table from? The floor tiles are DCT20694 (White Matt). I can’t find a name for them although. I can’t remember the exact cost but because they’re ceramic, not porcelain they weren’t a big upgrade. They were in one of the included ranges, just not our range! The table came from a small Melbourne company called Jim and James. We had a really hard time finding tables bigger than 2.4m long, plus I wanted American Oak, not Victorian Ash which is more commonly used. Jenifermarie I think this issue is quite common. How deep is the cavity? We made ours 750 deep. I think the standard is 700. It’s not the cavity depth that is the issue. It’s that the doors need to be clear of the cavity too open fully, so if we push it back into the cavity further we can only get the doors open 90 degrees, then the drawers can’t open all the way out because the doors block them.
