Our block slopes 9m in total from front to rear, with approx 3 metre fall over the building area. Our block is 50m deep in total. Please please tell me who was your builder???I have a land with similar fall too. Re: Site costs on block of land with fall 17Oct 23, 2018 12:44 pm Just remember that the site costs you see in your quote or contract are usually ADDITIONAL site costs. The builder always has a standard site cost allowance built into the base home price and this is covered in his inclusions, terms and conditions etc. Ask for this amount to make sure that you are not getting double billed. Until the soil test, the builder is making calculated guesses. Some builders may quote you fixed price contract for example on a H site with concrete piers, retaining walls etc and they have simply raised the base price or left other things out. Generally the bigger project builders will discount the site costs because they have bulk trades ready to go and they know what to expect so I recommend going for the big guys in housing estates and good local builders for the more tricky kdr type scenarios. Basically builders have to make a living and don't want to go broke and are trying to cover their behinds. They employ sales staff get you emotionally engaged so you don't shop around but generally I don't think they are out to rip people off.
