I didn’t realise you can have soft close with push to open- I thought you would have to push them fully closed to reset the mechanism. They do work well. You just push to open them, and then they close when you give them a shove. I like them a lot, but sometimes when I'm not thinking, I find myself shoving the cabinet doors (which doesn’t work because they are not soft close) and trying to push our concealed-handled dishwasher door open too. However, after six year of driving a VW I still try to flash people with my window washers, so that just mean that I'm not one of those smart humans I mentioned before. doogs82 I also didn’t realise we lost that much space in drawers. You do lose a fair bit of space. For example, with a 185mm drawer- front, the top drawers have only 105mm clearance and 145mm for all others below. Re: Shadowline and handleless island bench 16Oct 12, 2018 9:39 am doogs82 Yes, is 20mm Silestone (Eternal Calcutta Gold) with 60mm edge, mitre joined. Polar white cabinetry below. That might be the issue with the breakfast bar overhang, as it is "hollow" underneath, although I can’t imagine that they couldn’t put a timber or steel brace underneath and use a sheet of laminate to finish of the 60mm underside. My experience is that anything is possible if you can talk over the options and are prepared to pay. The underside of a 60mm breakfast bar should be finished with a double mitre and a sheet of 20mm underneath giving the appearance and feel of a solid 60mm slab. There are other ways of doing it but they are all corner cutting/cost saving methods. We have specced a 60mm Stone benchtop, a 16mm shadowline and also L profile handleless draw fronts to our island bench. We have been told it doesn’t work and we would lose too much space out of the cabinetry, I’m just wondering if anyone has seen it done, or has done this before? Happy to try another handleless system if it works better. Thanks guys! This is something I’ve drawn up to show roughly how it will look- it’s just the shadow detail I can’t get right....
