Waiting on tiler to complete works Thanks doosra. Do you think your situation was a one off or would you recommend against these particular tiles? You don't have a pic of what they've already laid do you? We are having second thoughts. My husband had another look at the Pearl Grey and felt it looked too grey for what we were after but we don't have any recollection of it looking too grey when we selected it at CQ. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12975Oct 10, 2018 2:39 pm becks81 Manhattan52 It will be on the same variation that whatever you are changing is on. You need to sign it to accept the change or change. They just won’t sneak it in your DEP if that’s what your concerned about Thanks Manhattan52. So if there are windows/door on my submission plans which appear to be the wrong height/size and the CSR has said, don't worry they'll be fixed on the construction plan, will the variation only be raised down the track (prior to construction plans)? I am just being pessimistic and imagining they will renege on the confirmation that I won't be charged a fee. From memory, it was the plans that were incorrect and not what we were officially supposed to have. But I have asked for a door to open out instead of in which my CSR has also said won't be a problem. Other things I'm worried about are the relocation and location of bathroom accessories etc, I've signed variations for these already. If they are reflected in your contract then there won't be a charge. for bathroom accessories like towel rails etc can be changed location after construction plans if needed Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12976Oct 10, 2018 2:42 pm becks81 doosra becks81 Oh no, the one they ran out of? doosra Yeap but they've arrived now so all good. Yes I think my situation was due to tiler error. They installed tiles before benchtops going in and so they had to be ripped out. First pic is pearl grey and second is Gesso white. I actually like the white better but tiles are also dirty and uncleaned. I can't keep track of where we made certain selections, so many things changed along the way. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12978Oct 10, 2018 3:03 pm doosra becks81 Thanks doosra. They both look really nice! This is for our main flooring downstairs, I think maybe the white is better? Can anyone confirm how requoting for flooring works? We haven't signed the first quote yet and this will be our first and only change. We are allowed one change without a fee right??? I really miss Anna, the new consultant takes quite a lot longer to answer emails. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12979Oct 10, 2018 3:08 pm becks81 doosra becks81 Thanks doosra. I really miss Anna, the new consultant takes quite a lot longer to answer emails. Anna helped us as well and she's great but we were easy with our selections and knew what we wanted. You can ask for 2 quotes so they shouldn't charge u a fee. If it's main flooring, either is fine I think. How many Sqm of flooring is required downstairs and how much was the quote? We've decided to do ours ourself I think it's 177m2, I can't actually bring myself to quote the cost as I'm too horrified. Can someone please offer some advice? Im DESPERATE.
