Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Ausbuild - Newbury 39 - Altitude Thornlands 51Oct 10, 2018 6:37 am We receive keys on 1 November and then have planned for the downlights, carpet and window shutters to be installed on Friday 2 November. Removal truck is booked for Saturday 3 November so this will be our first day in the new house. Going to be a bit of a rush but I am taking the following week off work so will get a few more things done then. Re: Ausbuild - Newbury 39 - Altitude Thornlands 52Oct 10, 2018 7:02 am You are so organised!! 🙌🏼 I have to wait I think 3/4 weeks still for the shutters downstairs, and haven’t booked anything yet apart from that And Venetians upstairs lol. Do you know how long we get until we have to have the lawn done? Re: Ausbuild - Newbury 39 - Altitude Thornlands 53Oct 10, 2018 8:26 am Our covenant requires front landscape to be done within 1 month of hand over. Yeah, we ordered our shutters 5 weeks ago so that they would be ready when we got the house. Also Did you have to put a fence door at the one side of your house ? If so who did you use ? Thank you Paul Re: Ausbuild - Newbury 39 - Altitude Thornlands 55Oct 11, 2018 10:45 pm Hi Tajana, To be honest I haven't found the info about the back yard, only the front - and that is one month from moving in. I can't recall anything about side returns being required. I will be doing the returns myself as we are after aluminum wood style lightweight gates to match the colour of our garage door. Sorry, I don't know any fencers that I could recommend. You might like to check with the local landscape yard as they might have a customer they could recommend. Our back has a pool which will take a little while to finish off so will be more than a month to get that sorted! Getting close now for you! How exciting. Re: Ausbuild - Newbury 39 - Altitude Thornlands 56Oct 12, 2018 9:41 pm No worries thank you Paul. Yes one more week to go, inspection done today, a few things need fixing but nothing major. Few more weeks to go for you and you guys will be all settled in. Re: Ausbuild - Newbury 39 - Altitude Thornlands 58Oct 14, 2018 6:25 pm Valendra , the inspection went well, I am Glad I got a third party to come. Not so much because I didn’t trust Ausbuild as Lez is amazing but the fact that there was another pair of eyes was great. He picked up on so many things that Lez and I missed out on, such as doors not being painted 3 times as required, bottom and top of the doors not painted ; scratches on window, scratches on stair balustrade , microwave not being secured, doors scratching the carpet etc I think if your not getting someone to come in definitely have a few family members there as everyone will pick up on something. I have photos of every corner of the house but they are such bad quality photos as I had them emailed by the company , so I will take photos on Friday and post them up ASAP. Still meant to be picking the key up this Friday Re: Ausbuild - Newbury 39 - Altitude Thornlands 59Oct 14, 2018 6:31 pm Ps. I also found out that I have LPG gas lol. So me to find something out like that last minute. Do you know much about it ? I signed up with origin , and I know they bring 2 bottles and when one runs out you need to change it over to another one and call them to exchange the used one. But how much is 1 bottle ? Do you get charged per bottle or do you still get a quarterly bill like the normal gas? so clueless 🤪 Re: Ausbuild - Newbury 39 - Altitude Thornlands 60Oct 14, 2018 7:19 pm Tajana Ps.
