Do you have stormwater gully traps with grates at or above ground level in your yard?
If so, how many and what do they look like when completed?

After tiling the house was prepared for painting. Commenced on Sunday this week and we believe the upper floor is finished and they have started on the ground floor. Maybe two days left. Also a surprise this week was the driveway and slabs for aircon & gas bottles. After this week we will only have electrical and plumbing fit off. We are doing carpet and wardrobe shelving after hand over. There is a slim chance we might have PCI in around 4 weeks. Here are some photos. Inside pics are through the alfresco glass doors. Ceilings are done and the cut in for top of walls is ready for rolling main coat tomorrow. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Nice clean work area! Wall colour is only undercoat. Top coat will be a bit lighter. Floor tiling is done so glad the protective wrap is in place. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Side path. After hand over we will install trip drain and concrete to fence. This path will be used by motorbikes. Re: Ausbuild Finlay 36 - Painting commenced, driveway instal 53Sep 21, 2018 3:29 pm It's looking very impressive! Getting pretty close to the end now Re: Ausbuild Finlay 36 - Painting commenced, driveway instal 55Sep 21, 2018 7:39 pm Thanks all! Yes it is amazing what paint does. The painters were there again today and said they have completed all ceilings, doors, architraves and skirtings. The walls are only undercoat but they will finish them either tomorrow or Monday. They have cut in with paint so only need to roll. We were able to get some indoor photos today. Main ensuite, waiting for free standing bath. Behind this wall is the shower - no doors and ceiling shower heads. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Main shower - there are two ceiling shower heads. Might venture there today. I think from memory our scaffold was up for just over three weeks. While the scaffold was in place they installed the upper level hardiplank, soffits, down pipes and painted the upper level including soffits. The scaffold costs a bit so they try and get the jobs done quick. It is great to see the house when the scaffold is removed. Exciting times for you ahead. Re: Ausbuild Finlay 36 - Painting commenced, driveway instal 59Sep 23, 2018 8:49 am Hi, Sandrascma's other half here, by all means take a wonder around, your place is looking so close to done, gives us a sneak peak what to expect. We have a bit of bricks still to go up then scaffold should be erected, once they done with soffit and painted I have a small windows to get my cameras up before the scaffold comes down. Solar will also be using the scaffold so hope it's not to busy. Feels like the bricks going so slow in comparison to another house down the road, all bricks up in one day, given it was a single story but still. Re: Ausbuild Finlay 36 - Painting commenced, driveway instal 60Sep 23, 2018 6:35 pm Hey Grant, welcome to the discussion! We did have a wander around your build. Brings back memories of our build. Looking good and you have a large back yard. We had a gang of 6 doing our bricks and they took 4 working days. Don't be too concerned that it feels slow at some point - things appear to go slow then all of a sudden there is a flurry of activity. Our painters finished the internal walls and ceilings yesterday. Still some external work to do and touch ups internally but is probably 95% done! Communication from head office has been atrocious so not sure what is up next. Hopefully plumbing and electrical fit outs will start this week. When your bricks are done if they have any left over ask the SS if you can keep them. Before we could ask they cleaned the site and dumped 1.5 pallets into the skip bin - what a waste! They kept some aside for the letterbox but by our calculations they are way short. Yet another issue we will have to cross when we get to that item.
