Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12507Sep 13, 2018 1:20 pm ASJ1981 ozmonkeyoy It will be much easier to have W put in the water points and drainage into your alfresco rather than doing it post handover. It can be done but much easier so pipes can be run under slab. But requesting this now will cause more delays and maybe variation fees. Good luck... Thanks ozmonkeyoy. I figured there will definitely be variation fees. We are waiting for Submissions Plans right now and it will cause more delays. I need to pick my battles on this one Sink would be great and convenient - some might argue it's necessary, but it's not a deal breaker for me - i don't think. I have seen outdoor kitchens online with just the bbq and bar fridge and for now, i think those two combos should suffice. Hubby will just have to wash his hands with the backyard hose The outdoor taps are just installed in two corners of your house and cant be specified where so they may end up being no where near the alfresco. If you really want it my suggestion is to include it.....or at least give firm advice as to procedure and costs for post handover.... Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12508Sep 13, 2018 1:34 pm Have been advised that Hydraulics is now taking the W engineer 4-5 weeks to complete. Has increased from 2-3 weeks advised in June 2018. For a standard Wisdom design with no external modifications. Seriously?! Our bbq is sitting in another area off the dining room. I think space will be a little bit of an issue for us, hence if we go ahead with the outdoor kitchen, it will just be compact and nothing too fancy. I'm thinking something like this: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Realising this, having no sink is not too much of a big deal. The kitchen is a few steps away anyway. It’s not so much the design it’s the regs and site that determines hydraulics as I understand it. These people in Revesby have to be on your visit list. They make the barbecues in Australia! Bought a stainless steel one from them about 1988 and it was still running like a beauty until last year. http://lifestylebbqs.com/contact/ Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12514Sep 13, 2018 7:59 pm kks ASJ1981 ozmonkeyoy We had the point initially included but took it out as we figured the outdoor kitchen would take up too much room and our alfresco is close to kitchen/dining anyway. Just found them today. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12516Sep 14, 2018 12:40 am ASJ1981 doosra, looks amazing! Our powder room vanity we custom designed according to a pic we liked and the Timpelle guy draw it accordingly. But I do regret not changing our vanity designs upstairs. I'm not too keen on the Wisdom standard design with the fascia strip and the aluminium shadowline. Wish we did our vanity doors all the way to the top. I'm already thinking about ways i can hide the visibility of the aluminium strip! I'm curious, did they cost much extra to change the vanity design? I think right now it annoys me i didn't change it, but after handover, i might get used to it Can you please elaborate on the vanity design and this fascia and aluminium strip at all? Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12517Sep 14, 2018 8:37 am becks81 Can you please elaborate on the vanity design and this fascia and aluminium strip at all? Hi becks81. We are on Luxury Package so i am not sure if there is a difference between packages. But the standard vanity looks like this: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Though it is not bad, i personally don't think the aluminium strip will suit the rest of my bathroom! For our Powder Room, we asked Timpelle to make our vanity like this: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I would have loved for the doors to go all the way up for the ensuite and main bathroom.
