It’s so exciting, at the start it felt like it was never going to happen. Now it’s almost finished. Every time I go there and see what they have done it is so exciting
Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Coral homes marcoola 32 modified - mundoolun qld 64Sep 09, 2018 7:30 pm Maddie do you mind telling who your ither builder was. might quote for sight costs with coral were quite high. quote="maddievans"] cass_rox maddievans We are looking at building with Coral! DO you mind me asking how much site costs/pierings ended up being with them? How much info did you have about your block before you started to build ie: land variations etc? Any unforseen costs with coral that you weren't expecting? Hi maddie, We paid the following site costs: Cut and fill - $1623 M site class slab - $7214.00 Piering- $3362 Water grates- $1462 My only wish is that I got everything in writing... coral have a terrible admin team and it takes months after paying the deposit to get your contract. Sales tell you things are included that are not. And we were very unlucky with our pre start rep and he had no idea about anything and constantly gave me incorrect info he doesn’t work for them anymore. But my site supervisor has been amazing so far so fingers crossed. I hope this helps 😁 Wow that's nuts! How scary, we want the build to start ASAP as we will be living with family while the build happens. Also, our land is H1 so more work than an M and another builder has quoted me only $2571 for slab with that class of soil. I'm waiting to hear Coral's package they are putting together, I put together my must haves and wants to see what it comes to. Just to clarify, the above costs were on top of your agreed costs with Coral or were they built into your total build cost? Thanks so much for this info! And so happy with all of the choices we made I had to let hubby have some input which is why we have the wood look stuff... but it is starting to come together and we are super excited. Re: Coral homes marcoola 32 modified - mundoolun qld 73Sep 20, 2018 9:29 am Skcel Is that a westinghouse gree standing oven? We just selected that for our build. Let me know how it goes! I’m not sure if it is a Westinghouse, couldn’t really see the brand but it looks pretty cool. Has a food warming drawer which will be good if we are having people over. When we got our contract there was a promotion that was kitchen upgrades including top cupboards, 900 mm electric or gas oven and stone bench tops for $1000 Not a bad upgrade so we did this one 😁 Re: Coral homes marcoola 32 modified - mundoolun qld 75Sep 20, 2018 8:09 pm Tash801 I have a couple questions. What colour is your walls and are they belga grey tiles? Also how much was the black fan? We have a start date October 10th They are the Belga grey shine tiles. Can’t remember the paint colour though I can have a look later tonight. I thought it was too dark but now I love it kids won’t make as many marks on the walls. The fans we did owner supply, we were going to get fans with lights and got coral to install. I wish I knew that the sparky will let you add things after and pay direct. So I added downlights in the kids room and just got the fan installed. The fan was only $83 from beacon. I got nice ones for outside and my room 😁 Re: Coral homes marcoola 32 modified - mundoolun qld 76Sep 21, 2018 8:18 am We have belga grey shine too. Was hoping they were cause I really like them. We are getting a lot of our electrical installed by the electrician and supplied by us. We only went bare minimum with Clipsal. The fans are really nice a good price too. I love the tiles they look better in person. So soft too and not too shinny that I will have to clean them every hour 😂 I did the fans in this picture in the master bedroom and the patio. These were $210 from an JD lighting. It is hard to see in the picture but they are timber and black. I would of loved to do these in all the rooms but would have been too much $$ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Coral homes marcoola 32 modified - mundoolun qld 79Sep 22, 2018 2:10 pm Thank you 😊 It was covered with shrub when we brought it, had been on the market for over a year. Got it at such a good price because people saw the shub as too much work. One day with a machine and over half was cleared just leaving the big ones. Fire brigade came out and all cleaned in a day. We love it and such a nice area too.
