We are waiting for our tiling to finish. we are on the second week of tiling. There seems to be good 3-4 weeks delay in your build I hope W sort things out for you. Contact Mark and he will review and take action. Keep us posted! Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12111Aug 27, 2018 10:40 am Hi NavyLion, Your situation sounds very similar to ours going on as we speak.. We are actually onto our second CSR now and its become quite a mess. The delays, the errors the lack of communication have all become overly frustrating. The admin in our experience has been so poorly handled i'm at the same stage as you are and are decided what action we need to take next.. Our contract has also expired and to be honest we couldn't have been more on top or prepared for our build..Good luck going forward! Mark, Can you please send me your Contact details so i can call you to discuss the possibility of a face to face meeting? I was actually going to call up to make an appointment today to speak to someone above our CSR and her Manager because we seem to be taking one step forward two steps back.. so i'm hoping we can organise a meeting asap. Regards Duncan Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12112Aug 27, 2018 11:05 am Hi All, I know this has been discussed many times here and I missed making my notes then..We have finally signed the initial contract and waiting for CQ to call us to book appointments. I know its just 2days of appointments to decide and 2hrs per appointment to decide on everything. It seems too less of time to comeup with everything the way we want. It would be really helpful of you all share some tips on what we can plan to do before going to CQ and what we can be ready with or what basic things we can plan and be ready before we head to kitchen, tiling and electrical appointments..thanks in advance for all your inputs and support.. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12113Aug 27, 2018 12:29 pm Hi All,
Planning on building a ambassador 33 and opting to increase my ceiling height to 2740 but due to placement of stairs along the length of the home drafting has reduced the width of our dining by 25 cm. Wanted to know if you any of you had faced similar issues due to height increase Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12114Aug 27, 2018 12:30 pm singalg @Alce4463, Just wondering if you know what height have they put the shelves in the walk-in? I am curious as i have 2.74M Ceiling, but upstairs cupboard doors are 2040, will I be able to access the space above the shelf ! and, I can;t remember if the walk-ins in the 2 bedrooms at the back had a tower with drawers in each as an inclusion or not? Hi singalg, Not sure on the height but they don't look real tall. We just have standard ceiling height upstairs and will be leaving the WIR open without doors. I don't mind it at the lower height as I like to use the top shelf to store folded clothes and I can still reach it at this height. As for the tower with drawers I think it depends on which package you have. We have the prestige package which only came with one drawer tower in master bed. We added the extra 1 to master and 1 to all other bedrooms. singalg Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12115Aug 27, 2018 12:35 pm champs2018 Hi All, I know this has been discussed many times here and I missed making my notes then..We have finally signed the initial contract and waiting for CQ to call us to book appointments. Hi champs2018 I suggest you check out all your inspiration on instagram, pinterest, display homes. Perhaps arrange a time to visit the CQ Di Lorenzo showroom prior to your appointments to see the builder's range and upgrade ranges. My husband and I are first time builders, and we did our selections before CQ opened. I went in assuming we could just pick some pre-set/popular colour schemes (I've seen a melb builder offer this) or copy a display home but no, there wasn't anything like that. Well you might be able to copy a display house now, since your kitchen and tiles are together at CQ and the consultant should be able to look up the colours for you. When I did my kitchen appointment with the supplier, the consultant had no references to show. For example, For our kitchen, (we don't have a window splashback) I was shown the lamiwood and decoglass from the builder's range, I didn't know, and wasn't told that I could upgrade my splashback to smoked mirror or even to caesarstone, until i saw it the final docs and saw the checklist option there. But thats my rookie mistake for not prepping and researching before our appointments. In hindsight, we made a lot of rookie mistakes lol. You really have to know what style and look you want for your home so you can ask for it!! Wishing you luck!! I am redesigning the kitchen so have the plan in mind..But yes for colors and tiles I really wanna go and check the CQ before our appointment but not sure if they allow us without an appointment.. I am making notes of what options we need to choose but yeah like you experienced..if we dont know what to ask as an upgrade then its tough for us to take off from work and visit again.. I thought since CQ opened, they have some sort of online directory on their website? Do you have something like this to review? After my tender & contract signing, I was posted out a USB with brochures and links of the suppliers they use. We are at exactly the same stage as you, we signed last week. We dropped into the CQ on the weekend and just wondered around. They were ok with it but we didn't expect any help from the staff. They were attending to people at their appt's, we stayed clear to not interrupt their process. I'd check with your CSM first tho. We are going to visit the Di Lorenzo Showroom as i think there are much more tiles to choose from/on display. In regards to upgrades etc. I am the same. I want to know what all the upgrades are so i can just pick. I'll be asking for specific upgrade lists... Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 12120Aug 27, 2018 12:59 pm stevezau stevezau We have finally signed contracts and have paid the 10%. Now moving into canvas quarter appts. Critical is the landscaping design to start with CDC. Few questions i'm hoping someone can help who has gone through the process 1. Landscaping - We heard Wisdom is far more expensive. We are def getting a pool with Wisdom but am thinking to do rest as minimal and do post-handover. Any other experiences here? - We really have no idea regarding landscaping. Is it better to get a landscaping architect to design something for us as we are really bad at design.. We want something nice and don't mind paying. 2. Experiences during the colour appointments. Did you get everything done in the 2 appointments? If not, how many times did you go back. Any tips/things we can do to be prepared to try minimise the return trips (1hr 20min each way for us to Wisdom HQ). From reading the posts.. we will - visit houses trying to find the colours/tiles/style we want to copy.. we are likely to copy the Aspiration from Leppengtion, we like the lighter cabinets style. Most other Wisdom houses are too dark. hopefully will speed things up. - look over electrical and other plans with a fine tooth comb to prevent admin re-draw fees. We are kinda in a race to get slab down before shutdown so any tips will be helpful! Anyone??? Esp the landscaping side, own plans vs wisdom? Hi stevezau I got a quote for the tiles used in the Aspiration. Its the Casa dolce casa, priced at $82sqm, and labour $94.50sqm. Hope this helps. Can someone please offer some advice? Im DESPERATE.
