That's my rumpus room that will overlook my pool Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 11932Aug 20, 2018 11:54 am nthkellyvillebuild and rest of the folks thinking of upgrades and cost. I would suggest make list of all the items which are 100% must and would be expensive to do later. In our case we wanted stairs to be a feature and so is the kitchen and main floor. During the appointment you will get the choice of getting two free quotes. So you have Plan A which if costly you can fall back to Plan B. Eg:- we wanted timber look tiles but the plan B was porcelain width tiles. Then there are MUST have like glass balustrade stairs. You can save on things which you can do yourself later (if required). I know I can switch bathroom fittings anytime or wall tiles in bathrooms so we saved there however its costly to switch kitchen bench top or floor tiles. Have a budget for all your essential upgrades and put them down in an excel sheet Vs actual. We were very conscious at our electrical appointment and we also told our consultant that we are saving for timber look tiles. Also in our case we had a good size sitecost to deal with, Once you start getting quotes back you can then choose as per your budget, you will have clear picture of where to move the money around. Don't rush to sign and submit the quotes. Let all of them come back. You will be surprise that you may have few items to add to the lux list at the end of the day. Since then there has been little or no progress onsite. We have lost 3-4 weeks only to be informed that Wayne has left W. We have lots 3-4 weeks and have not been allocated a SS yet. We are not sure of whom to escalate this to as our CSR says this is not under her area . We are having anxious moments owing to the delay. Never expected this from W. Request any of you guys to let us know if you have been through anything similar and whom do we escalate construction issues to? Please feel free to PM @WisdomHomes I hope you are listening Hi spk_homebuild, I have sent you a PM with my contact details. Please reply and I will make sure we provide you with answers ASAP. Lucky we did as they wanted to confirm feature walls with us in our ensuites. First time I’d walked through in a few months and I could hardly contain my excitement!! OMG I am so happy! Kitchen, laundry, powder room and three ensuite cabinetry have been installed. All beautiful! This was not how our renovation was done. Are there any implications to waterproofing when done this way? CSR confirmed with construction manager that vanities are hung before tiling. I did not think this was an industry standard. Other thank saving on tiles, does anyone know why they would do it this way? Can someone please offer some advice? Im DESPERATE.
