Wish me luck. 449Aug 11, 2018 9:08 pm I feel both your pain and elation. I am going near-nuts at the moment waiting for my house to be built. I'm probably about 2 months behind you in the building process. I'd do anything to get out of where I am now and into my new home, but I'm not letting my builder know that. From their perspective I'm the most patient, easy going client they've ever had. Inside though, I am busting to move into my new home and start my new life!! As I have followed your thread, I consoled myself knowing that whatever you are posting about, just add 8 weeks and I'll be going through it too (I hope)! Glad you are getting your keys as planned Re: Our First Home - Ballarat - Handover Friday 454Aug 16, 2018 8:06 am icat2000 Any ideas how not to make the sewer drain outlet so visible. It looks great. Is that the square thing on the front yard. Just put a garden around it. Re: Our First Home - Ballarat - Handover Friday 455Aug 16, 2018 10:26 am You could put a pot or statue on it Re: Our First Home - Ballarat - Handover Friday 458Aug 16, 2018 1:12 pm Hope you have a great day tomorrow Re: Our First Home - Ballarat - Handover Friday 459Aug 17, 2018 6:52 pm Handover went well today. There a couple of things left to do like they have to hose down the alfresco area its dirty but they waiting for the bobcat guy to level out the site, who was waiting on the fencing guy to finish (which he did). Couple of photos. They did the feature walls today. They said I have to start a list of anything that needs to be addressed at the three month mark. Moved a couple of boxes today, but some furniture being delivered tommorrow so it feel more like a house. I think what is meant to happen is that your landscapers come in, prepare the soil and lay some turf out the front there. And when they are doing the turf, they are going to cut down the height of the grate and recess it a little into the lawn surface so that it actually ends up doing what it is designed for (catch surface water). If you kept it like it is now, it isn't going to do anything because it is too high (on purpose). Builders purposely leave them prominent like that and it is the landscapers job to "integrate" it into your landscape. Congrats. Will be watching this progress and interested to see how you go with summit. 12 34709 yes it does, you've just not understood it. theres a difference. 4 5785 Your house should come in "as new" condition. It should be clean, and without stains 1 4931 |
