I'm building my last home at the moment and I could still produce a long list of things I really would have wanted if I had not cared about being sensible with the money. But at least this time around I have covered the fundamental bases, unlike the previous time where I had no experience at all and didn't include even the most basic "upgrades". But there are advantages of standard height ceilings. Maybe I'm wrong here but with a lower ceiling you have less room volume for the same floor space, so cooling and heating costs should be less all other things being equal. And it will be easier to change light bulbs, clean ceiling fans and clean out your airconditioning filters! Also started finishing off the island bench. Wasn't too sure how the three colour scheme would go in the kitchen but think it looks okay.
