I have researched the different types of porcelain tiles, but was just wondering what experience people have had with the durability of glazed porcelain tiles after they have been laid. Have they chipped easily or have they been fine, cracked easily or are they fine, maintenance, etc thanks Re: Fully Porcelain Tiles or Glazed Porcelain Tiles 4Jul 31, 2018 3:21 am ![]() Thanks for that Alexp79. I have researched the different types of porcelain tiles, but was just wondering what experience people have had with the durability of glazed porcelain tiles after they have been laid. Have they chipped easily or have they been fine, cracked easily or are they fine, maintenance, etc thanks If you go for heavy duty version, they should be good. You can get some top of the range from China for less than US$10 per sqm those days, so it is virtually of the cheapest floor options available (but installation can cost you up to A$60 per sqm). They can go as thin as 4 mm, but probably you would rather go for thicker 10 mm tiles for your flooring. But you should be also looking into insulated slab and hydronic heating if you are seriously planning tiles throughout the house in Victoria. They will be passing temperature directly from the slab. Considering porcelain for the benchtop on our kitchen island. Can anyone recommend supplier/ installer in Adelaide? And can you share pricing? Farquhar… 3 1015 ![]() We are building and keen to go porcelain as well. Pricing doesn’t seem competitive yet, at least not with the kitchen company we have been speaking with. What pricing… 2 1556 Hi, Did anyone select Avorio Polished Porcelain for their flooring? We selected these for our house. Would love to see any pictures of Avorio Polished Porcelain.
