Hi All
I am building a two storey house with a skillion roof on a long narrow block and I share fencing with four neighbours.
On my left is a battle-axe block.
The front neighbour has a tall limestone wall, which I hate the look of.
The rear neighbour has a colour bond fence which is on good condition but I need to retain here as my land height is about 30cm lower.
My right neighbour and I have a brick fence between us which will be rendered. It's against my pool.
Rear neighbour has a temporary fence as I had to take down the old asbestos fence to get my pool in.
I of course would like to continue with rendered brick to my backyard, but it's very expensive. Has anyone done a mock render wall using MGO or hardiplank type and happy with how it's holding up? I am thinking I could leave the colorbond up and have rendered brick retaining and then the plank product above.
Limestone- rendering is expensive and apparently not always the neatest. I was wondering if I could do the same and cover it with MGO with render texture paint.
Would love to hear from anyone who has any thoughts or experience with this or if you have another suggestion.
