Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Valeco first time build North Brisbane 48Jul 16, 2018 10:57 am hahaa yep! but so good to get a feel for all the rooms and spaces. It also means its definitely happening! lol. We had our frame put up before xmas, so we have waited a long time to get to this point. There is progress, but its small progress every week - all internals have now been painted, tiles and cabinetry is in, and this week we are hoping for the electrical fit out... although still no taps, baths, mirrors, fittings installed yet. Plus our staircase is still not replaced (they put the wrong one in). Also still a bit of exterior work to go. Driveway should hopefully go in this week or next as well. We are getting there, but slowly. Re: Valeco first time build North Brisbane 49Jul 16, 2018 4:02 pm gr8ly hahaa yep! but so good to get a feel for all the rooms and spaces. When is your contract end date? Re: Valeco first time build North Brisbane 50Jul 16, 2018 7:26 pm yep, i was hoping they would drop everything to make up time, but no not really. still plodding along. We are over contract already. Ended at the beginning of July. We had a lot of issues earlier on. The newer builds like yours should be fine. Re: Valeco first time build North Brisbane 52Jul 16, 2018 9:42 pm We are hoping before September. we have asked multiple times but they are very reluctant to give us an answer - not surprised, there is still a lot to go in my opinion. Anyway i'll live my Valeco dream through you guys haha! Re: Valeco first time build North Brisbane 54Jul 18, 2018 8:54 pm Fingers crossed gr8ly, September is not to far away, let's hope they get all there ducks in a row and get a move on. I'll try not to overshare 😁. It seems so real now, the frame is just the t2 timber not steel, but looks like it. We get the roof on this week and rough ins next week 😃.
