Hi we have recently had a new pool tiled. The grout in light grey is very dark in some sections to the point it looks old and mouldy. The grout is not wet and has had plenty of time to cure.
My pool builder told me that it is normal and once filled the grout will absorb the water and be a consistent colour??!? I'm unsure if this is correct.
He tells me I'm overreacting.. Am I?? I expected the mosaics and coping to look even in colour not like it was laid 15 years ago...
Is this normal?

Bit of a late reply to a post, to which you're job has probably been finished. But
grouts not been mixed properly.... and secondly, you're water line isn't going to cover all the waterline tiles. Get them to do sort that out before it gets pebbled and filled. If you have to play the waiting game... do it, you're not going to be swimming at this time of the year anyway.
Anything under the water level, you're prob not going to see... but we're not after mediocre workmanship for an expensive pool.

I would not use the Selleys product, it may cause damage to your benchtop. Just buy a plastic removal tool like this stay away from metal ones as it may scratch. Use this…
