You’d want to keep the fall less than a metre across the build platform if you want a standard slab. You also need to be aware if council have any regulations, we have a maximum 500mm cut and 500mm fill, with maximum retaining walls of 800mm..they are forcing people to build with the slope. In saying that in our current home we have a step down of 600mm, so our front is 9foot ceilings and our back is 11 foot ceilings, we have no retaining front or back, I much prefer this than drop edge beams etc Thanks all! It’s 70M from front to back so I think that ends up being a slope of 14%. We don’t necessarily have to have a slab house if we find a design for split or tri level we like we’d be more than happy to go with that If it's like our current project a slab house will be by far the least expensive option even with DEBs and a step down in slab. You can add 50-100k for split/double story options. Howdy all. I am looking for feedback on what people would do to maximise and make an area as flat as possible.
