We are currently exploring the use of pre cast or tilt up concrete wall panels for an extension, 15x10m. Would you consider this material more expensive than a traditional build? What is the approx cost for the panel per SQM? We are owner builders and looking just for the make and insulation, we will fit out the internal. cheers kylie I think overall it didnt come more expensive than double brick, perhaps a touch cheaper. I created 2 separate posts about this as I didnt know what best forum to post was so check out this topic as it's got a bit more info regarding your question. https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=92485 I had some comparative prices from other precast companies in Perth and the precaster I picked was almost half the price (as their normal rate) as they do high volumes as they are associated with developer Finbar & PSAROS over in Perth. For 15x10 extension it shouldn't break the bank and I dare say would a lot cheaper than double brick as it would be a fairly simple process to erect as opposed to a 3 storey house with undercroft. If you've got any plans/sketches feel free to shoot them through and I can give you a rough idea on price. You could compare it to local precasters & chances are might be even cheaper to have them freighted across from Perth than do it locally. The crane company that we Perth that I used for rigging/installation have just been up to Geraldton 500KM from Perth doing some panels due to cheaper price. Would you have an email I could send our concept plans too? Thanks kylie Of course - flick it over and ill have a look at it tonight in between the 2 soccer games! Would you have an email I could send our concept plans too? Thanks kylie Hey Kylielam Concept drawings (Fake Renderings) without preliminary Data, Engineering and REAL Costings are useless. Unfortunately that is why you can't find much Data/ information around on the internet. The majority of Architect precast residential projects never get past the 3D Artistic rendering stage. My advice is get to the engineering before you throw away too much money The labour Prices in Australia are far too expensive and the price of concrete is relatively the same worldwide You will find concrete houses in Africa Low Cost Concrete Homes Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs Re: Pre-cast/tilt up Concrete House Build Perth 16Jun 27, 2019 3:41 pm HI guys just had a google of this topic and happy to see that we some people are interested in concrete houses in Perth. It would achieve a pretty low rent as it's… 0 13744 |
