Of course they cost more than other brands but some people think they can achieve the same with an inferior product and then bag out ALL vinyl planks/retailers as no good. Agree with that... I have lined-up Karndean Looselay Longboards for my house currently being built. We ruled out the following due to : Timber - beyond budget, require maintenance, we prefer a floor that can be mop cleaned when required Tiles - too cold in winters laminate click fit - they scream "timber imitation", noisy underfoot, we prefer a floor that can be mop cleaned when required Hybrid click fit - they scream "timber imitation", noisy underfoot Which looselay planks did you go for Sam? We were going to have the Mountain Spotted Gum in looselay longboards but they have since brought out a new acoustic plank in some pretty amazing variations, we have chosen Australian Ghost Gum.
