If they take more than 33 weeks, see 1.11 section of your building contract where they have mentioned details about it. Thanks Venky, for the start date did you go with the date when they said they will commence building or did they tell you it was officially second week of February, as in our case we were told they will commence most of the pre work for the slab b4 Christmas and then the site supervisor contacted me on the first week of the jan but when i inquired they said the commencement date was third week of January so not sure how to tell your official start date.. Re: Lucere estate at Leppington 97Jun 14, 2018 4:02 pm Andy909 Hi Splendid, I would like to share my own views on this. There are people and even my friends who go to site every week and check progress and speak to SS. Well no judgements but none of that really matters. When you are investing more than half a million dollars in the property it is worthwile to invest $500 to get an expert check whether the builder has done the right thing. My brickwork has been completed and I had chat with an inspector. He said 2 inspections are enough. One during lock up stage or prelining stage and another during handover. I am going to do both. There are more stages of inspection but those are not necessary unless you are investing millions. Regards Andy Thanks Andy, which company did you go with if you don't mind sharing their details? not sure if it is too late for prelining inspection but I would like to get it done too if possible Re: Lucere estate at Leppington 98Jun 14, 2018 5:17 pm splendid_12 VenkyA Hi Splendid, Our contract states build time is 33 weeks, started 2nd week of Feb. They are planning inspection next week so can't say about their performance. So far they are good in communication and quoted reasonable rates <$400. However all of them are licensed so select what best suits you. I think they all pretty much the same as long as they are licensed i will probably go with them too. |
