Simple solution is just get another remote controll and mount it on the wall.. done done and done. There is no way you'd wanting to be using the ceiling mounted unit.

Included in the bag with all the installation booklets, remotes etc was what looked like a light switch. I'm assuming that this is to be drilled to a location of my choice and I presume like the remotes, operate on a wireless signal.
I assume it came standard for me, but my partner organised the door through his connections so can't really tell you 100%. I suggest giving B&D a call to see if you can purchase it separately.
