Not yet We had some delays with the paperwork/bank.. just waiting on final payment to transfer and will then hopefully hear from our SS for handover. I'm crossing my fingers for sometime this week. Re: Almost Handover - Valeco Homes - Polished Concrete + Mon 478May 31, 2018 8:16 pm Guess who just got assigned a new Site Supervisor.... /eyeroll. I was at the house this evening to water the plants when a Valeco ute pulled up and a guy I had never met before hops out. Introduced himself and said he was taking over our build. We had no idea. He asked a few questions about what we were up to in the build (lucky I was there to chat to him). Our bank has made final payment however it turns out there are still defects that havent been rectified since our PCI which was 5 weeks ago as of tomorrow. /facepalm The new SS was lovely though and is going to call me tomorrow with an update. He wants to get us in asap. Hopefully he can. But there could be more for all we know. I'm concerned that because of the SS changeover that our last SS probably didn't finish everything. We have no way of knowing because we haven't been back inside. Our last SS never contacted us to say it was all completed though. We just assumed they were waiting on payment to clear. The new one wasn't exactly sure what else was left. It makes me wonder if he has our private inspector list of defects. Maybe I'm freaking out and the window hood is actually the only thing left. Will hopefully find out tomorrow. To my understanding early saw cuts are to control shrinkage cracks, so doing them now would be pointless. Control joints may reduce ugly cracking during periods of soil… 3 9830 Hi all I need a guidance on how far I need to space expansion joints in the concrete driveway and its type (keyway/foam.) Contraction joints are at 3m max for a 125 slab. Thanks 0 10926 |
