Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Porter Davis: - Rochedale 33 Build Thread 14May 28, 2018 6:43 pm shane3340 Things are happening slowly on our end.... since signing contract on the 30/3, we have been spending a lot of time going back and forth fixing errors etc. Now awaiting developer approval.... hopefully this comes soon.... trying to resist the urge to constantly pester our BC. Anyone else know how long it usually takes to get approval? Surely it shouldn't take long! https://pd-rochedale33.advancemm.com/20 ... -approval/ Depends on the developer. Ours turned it around within 24 hours. Re: Porter Davis: - Rochedale 33 Build Thread 16Jun 05, 2018 10:46 am A quick update on our build- Finally had contact from both BC & SS. After our slab pour occurred on the 23/05/2018, because of a shortage of available trades, our framing will not commence until 22/06/2018. 6 weeks of delays already. Re: Porter Davis: - Rochedale 33 Build Thread 17Jun 14, 2018 10:10 am Another quick update- Kitchen Culture have screwed up our cabinetry drawings resulting in an unscheduled visit to World of Style Sunday just gone. All good now but something that didn't really need to occur nonetheless. We had arranged to meet our SS onsite this morning. My wife has been OS and it was the first chance to meet our SS in person and ask some questions that we had. We were a little bit put off by the attitude we were given when we said we both work full time and therefore asked to meet out of hours but we compromised with a 7am meeting. Well he was a no show stating he forgot & didn't have his phone on him after missed calls, voice mails and text messages. The sooner this house is built and we never ever have to deal with Porter Davis the better! How's your progress shane3340? We are waiting on the BC to go through the final clarifications and issue us with final drawings... We got an email with the building insurance documentation, so hopefully not much longer. They don't like giving specifics on when things will happen so it is just a waiting game for now... Re: Porter Davis: - Rochedale 33 Build Thread 19Jul 13, 2018 7:45 am Quick update from me: Our final construction drawings have been issued, and after much stuffing around with our bank in getting the valuation done, we have been formally approved. Now awaiting the loan contract, which I hope will come through today, and then we will be transferred to construction!
