Pre warn them about issues I have heard and hopefully that prevents anything happening. Thanks so much! That’s what I did too. All the muck ups I went to my ss and told him to make sure this gets done or that. So it doesn’t cause a defect. But he was always pretty much on top of everything. viewtopic.php?t=86597 Re: Building Metricon Glendale 42 Limited Edition in Geelong 2729Jun 10, 2018 10:15 pm Orpheus Kyla, how’s yr beautiful house and garden coming along? Sorry Orph, just noticed this tonight!! So we've had some fix ups done at beginning of year including * ripping out and replacing stairs as the dark stain never took properly when they went over the mucked up colour. Since we were starting from scratch we went back to our original choice of a light stain and absolutely love it!! * front door was also replaced due to same issue with stain as well as some swelling issues over summer * We had our carpet ripped up and replaced (we upgraded to a better quality whilst at it....soooo much better!!), * we also had scaffold back up for a few weeks to repair the cracks in our rendered balcony piers * Our driveway will be getting ripped up soon as we chose a dark coloured through concrete and they poured light grey and then painted it dark and it's all wearing off. When we confronted them they told us the sample we chose our colour from was actually a paver not concrete and they can't get concrete that dark without painting it. So we are going for exposed aggregate instead now. Front garden was finally done (apart from near driveway). I love it so much!! Need more plants out back and sides of house but need money for that lol Photos from when turf was first laid Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Building Metricon Glendale 42 Limited Edition in Geelong 2730Jun 10, 2018 11:01 pm Oh wow! That’s a lot of changes after handover! Why did you rip up carpet? Problems, or just didn’t Ike it? We are doing carpet after handover. Re: Building Metricon Glendale 42 Limited Edition in Geelong 2731Jun 11, 2018 8:56 pm shokel1975 Oh wow! That’s a lot of changes after handover! Why did you rip up carpet? Problems, or just didn’t Ike it? We are doing carpet after handover. They over stretched it in the master and the join split apart. There was also a cut in it that we found near stairs so rather than replace those two sections they said they'd be replacing the whole thing and we could upgrade whilst stir if we wanted to. So glad we got to upgrade as the quality was shocking anyway!! New one is much more plush and lovely Re: Building Metricon Glendale 42 Limited Edition in Geelong 2732Jun 11, 2018 9:25 pm So good that you were able to upgrade - but it’s the least they could do for inconveniencing your family while they re-lay new carpet. Sunday was our 1 year anniversary in the house Still bits and pieces to go on our landscape but now I’m ready to change my plant selections in our garden. Lacking some colour Apart from that loving our home, only been on our balcony 5 times in the year lol I’d much prefer our backyard scenery then seeing my double storey neighbours in the front. Our Club will be completed July so more bills to pay. Yay lol Love coming back in the forums and seeing everyone’s beautiful homes Re: Building Metricon Glendale 42 Limited Edition in Geelong 2734Jun 12, 2018 9:50 pm Emmz70 kylz4 Orpheus Kyla, how’s yr beautiful house and garden coming along? After service has been fantastic for us. We only had very minor fixes which were dealt with promptly. House is still standing after a year so that’s a bonus Hope all is well your side Re: Building Metricon Glendale 42 Limited Edition in Geelong 2736Jun 12, 2018 11:41 pm Emmz70 Renman Emmz70 [quote="kylz4"][quote="Orpheus"]Kyla, how’s yr beautiful house and garden coming along? I'm starting a job next month so hopefully will be able to start ticking off some boxes of the last few things to do - concrete x2 out back, PLANTS out back, pay mum back for front garden Is your club going to have indoor pool? Ours is under cover but not enclosed so it's pretty much unused from April -September/October!
