Concreting should be happening this coming week and were putting our fence up this weekend. We sat back last night and enjoyed some cold beers by the pool, watching the LEDs do their thing, the air temp was only 7 degrees so I had my blanket and there was no swimming happening as yet there was actually steam coming off the water. The lights are amazing. We want a pool also, will have to wait a while till we can afford it after our build. Re: Building the Hampton with Allworth Homes 250May 25, 2018 6:34 pm It looks great, can’t wait to see the concreting and landscaping down the track Re: Building the Hampton with Allworth Homes 251Jun 15, 2018 2:52 pm 15/06/2018- the concrete is complete around the pool along with garden beds and some plants. Still need to paint the garden beds and put mulch in. Allworth have been out 3 times already to fix up bits and pieces and it has almost all been rectified already, very happy with their post hand over repairs and their repair man is fantastic. We have a few dramas with the pool with the electricals. Somehow when the pump has power to it there is 2 volts of electricity in the water, very scary . I only noticed it as I had a small cut on my hand and put my hand in the water and it felt like it bit me each time, we grabbed the multimeter out and sure enough the is an electrical charge in the water . So were seeking out another electrician with swimming pool knowledge to take a look at it all, hoping we can get to the bottom of it all and sort it very soon, very lucky it's not swimming season as we would have been in the water with electricity around us Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Building the Hampton with Allworth Homes 252Jul 26, 2018 3:21 pm 26/07/2018- we built a box around our pool pump which also acts as a water feature and I just finished tiling it myself in stack stone. Looking forward to the coping and paving being done now but I'm not tackling that mammoth job for some time yet lol. We have ordered tiles for our alfresco floor which we were meant to have 3 weeks ago but every week we get a different excuse as to why we cant pick them up yet, this will be the next task to complete. Baby sitter let me down so I had to make do with the time that I had, took me 1.5 weeks everytime I had a spare moment and blew up our old tile aaw and had to buy a new one but absolutely loving our tile choice here. Great job doing the tiles, it’s bloody hard to do any jobs with kids are around!!! I usually work 3 days a week, Tuesdays I have off with my 4 year old daughter and we often do groceries because that’s her idea of fun and some baking, then I take Friday off alone to either do jobs without my kids or just some me time, although when hubby has to go down to our house to meet with tradies or has jobs to do there I have to go to work and even on my days off I often have emails and orders to do from home so getting a day off isn’t really a day off lol I must have missed your last few posts, have you fixed your power problem in the pool? The water feature and stacked stone look fantastic btw viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89059 Re: Building the Hampton with Allworth Homes 255Aug 14, 2018 10:54 am aphsta Hey! Although we kind of want to build again already, we kind of miss the excitement of it all haha. Re: Building the Hampton with Allworth Homes 256Aug 14, 2018 11:04 am We fixed the pool current by bonding and earthing the pool water. It was completely insulated before as the pool is fibreglass and no metal components anywhere to conduct any current away from the pool so when touching the water we would feel a sting or zap. The chlorinator manufacturer advised that the chlorinator releases a slight voltage through the water through a metal plate inside it and its standard, I dont really like the idea of that but apparantly it's normal, at least there is no current in the water now that its earthed.

Your place is looking great and feels like it all happened so fast, it's a relief to pretty much have it all done isn't it. Although we kind of want to build again already, we kind of miss the excitement of it all haha. Yep the ending part happened super fast. It was such an anticlimax too since we got it all done and then left it to the agent to find tenants (not found any yet). We have a lady we are paying to water the yards and grass is coming through, she has sent some pictures of it. We still have to fit out the butlers pantry and laundry plus build the outdoor kitchen when we end up moving in so still have the excitement of doing those jobs. We have an agent we know coming to see our house here in Sydney tomorrow. We are thinking of selling this spring sale season and renting until we move. That way we have one thing less to worrying about trying to do all at once as we need to sell part of our company and then have the tenants move out at the right time too, so having to sell at the exact right time will be hard viewtopic.php?f=31&t=89059 Re: Building the Hampton with Allworth Homes 259Aug 14, 2018 11:08 am Re: Building the Hampton with Allworth Homes 260Sep 22, 2018 12:56 pm Hi there I came across your post and saw that you built with allworth.
