Great to see it coming along nicely. The wait period for the curing is so annoying, but that’s what you got to do. My guys started framing Saturday and pretty much finished the whole bottom story, not that I know what’s left for them to do though, we would be level pegging if I didn’t have a 2nd story going up.
Great family pics of the kids just hanging to get there area in the finished product, but I’m sure at there age, they learn a lot by the build.
Good luck with the roof next I think and hopefully quick to a protected house from the elements

Isn’t the curing wait painful. I did a few big shopping trips in that period and my husband was thrilled when they started on the trusses

There is a lot of bracing to be installed in a 2 story, tie down rods and structural ply, because we are N3 we have all that too. If your framing carpentered has a big gang they will slam it out. We are still going, all the tie down rods, framing braces to be finished tomorrow and then the gutters and facias will be installed. Roof next week.

The kids love going up there and looking, it’s a bit of a handful keeping 5 kids in a line following you around like a bunch of ducklings but I need to be safe with them. (I seriously feel like taping there hands together they want to touch everything

)

send your wife along to H&M home and Zara Home they have some lovely things, Myer also have amazing sales on fragrance defusers (I think I can here you shaking from here

) do you have TK Maxx? I love that shop oh and Kmart, who doesn’t love Kmart.

I remember Tomcat building through winter and it was a little tough, if you can get to lock up before the rain starts it would be a bonus. Winter is the best time to build here as it very rarely rains (touch wood)

I tried not to rub it in that the throw is so cozy while you feel poorly. I think his words where go away you smug toad or I’ll wipe my nose on your throw rug

I just looked up the design, It’s a brilliant size and will run along your block just like you wanted. I really like the facade with the corbel brickwork and timber windows.

Fingers crossed you won’t need to do that and you get a buyer really soon. How is your land progressing?

It is pretty busy all the time, I like busy but I also like quite it gives me a chance do and make things for the house. I was pretty worried about the skylight location, so pleased it won’t be a problem.

I’m really looking forward to the pool too, we haven’t had one for 3 years now and my kids have gone backwards with swimming

. Our pool really wasn’t expensive. $35,500 and it’s a 10.3x4.2m Fiberglas pool. We have lots of piers and extra concrete so it would be even cheaper for you as you have far nicer soil than I do.

How is the house shopping coming along? Have you been picking up items?

What a score!!! I have 3 ‘reed stick things’ happening at the moment. *insert real name here* I love the organic brand at Coles it’s only $17 (no idea if it’s actually organic it just smells good) lol and it’s subtle enough to keep in our bedroom and ensuite without it hitting you in the face when you walk in like some over powering ones!!
No date set in, we’re getting married in Bali. It will be May 2020 that’s all I know! Lol engagement party in November and then save the dates will go out and give our guests 1.5 years to save or stay behind.
We go in August to meet our planner and lock it all in. I have sooo many screen shots in my phone for inspo

omg 11 years!!!!! But I know this last year has flown so I guess I better get used to blinking and it being another month gone. I don’t garden - I have great intentions to garden then decided to do other things or start the job and make Justin finish it hahaha

We are getting there, it definitely won’t be a super fast build this time due to distance and selections but I’m ok with that.

Agree I really like getting the kids involved, we let them pick the pool shell colour the other day

I like busy but then I say I need some down time and then if I get down time I’m bored lol. Full time shift work, three kids and building a house and I don’t have much down time these days.

Our soil is H1 clay so I think we might need extras for the pool as well. Call me crazy crazy lady but I’m toying with the idea of project managing my pool installation myself to try and do it a bit cheaper and achieve it sooner because we want to pay cash for it. I’ve started doing a bit of research into it.

I haven’t done any shopping

. I have done lots of online window shopping but haven’t bought anything lately. I bought a heap of towels and bath mats and hand towels from Sheridan at the beginning of the build and now I think they won’t match my new tiles so I’m trying to stop myself from buying anything until we get in.

I was pretty pumped with my purchase

. Owh I love the stronger smelling ones but we have 7 bodies in the house, 3 dogs, lots of cooking smells and a cockatiel and parrot who like to sit on the kids shoulders. I’ll have to have a look at the Coles ones

How cool is that a Bali wedding, I love your motto save up or miss out. Fair enough your giving plenty of warning, August will be a great trip to plan it all. The dresses are gorgeous I do love all the new styles.

We actually eloped when we got married, we where 24, addled with uni debts and had a baby with only hubby working, we had a beautiful holiday/wedding and it was stress free
