Browse Forums Paving & Concreting Re: Advice on Driveway Concrete 2May 20, 2018 12:02 pm Trippypossum Hi, Would really like like some advice/feedback on what concrete to use on the driveway. Trying to decide between coloured concrete or aggregate concrete. Any advice or thoughts would be much appreciated. Cheers. I would also be in the same situation down the track in the next 3-4 months I would personally go with aggregate concrete for it looks. However I very well understand that it is more costly as compared to the coloured one. Have you shortlisted any specific colours for the driveway ? I am not sure if coloured concrete have many options with regards to the colours. I hope this helps ! Cheers ! Re: Advice on Driveway Concrete 4May 20, 2018 12:58 pm If you are going for exposed aggregate make sure you choose a pebble aggregate if you have children. Some of the crushed rock aggregates look like they could do some damage to exposed skin if a child fell on them. The Harder You Try - the Luckier You Get ! It is the one thing that we had to choose from a colour chart and their website. We ended up choosing "Smokey Blue" hopefully we get to see it soon as we need to decide if we will get the Alfresco done the same. To my understanding early saw cuts are to control shrinkage cracks, so doing them now would be pointless. Control joints may reduce ugly cracking during periods of soil… 3 9862 Hi all I need a guidance on how far I need to space expansion joints in the concrete driveway and its type (keyway/foam.)
