Browse Forums Building A New House Re: KDR - Allcastle Homes Grandworth 45 MK2 36May 14, 2018 9:31 am Quick update from me, House has been demolished, Site inspection done. waiting for the final construction plans to sign off so we can actually construct. i find the communication from our pre-construction consultant really slow. hopefully once everything has been signed off it will go a lot smoother. Re: KDR - Allcastle Homes Grandworth 45 MK2 37May 14, 2018 1:24 pm I just had my electrical done last week but yet to sign off.. Massivecost around $18k with 60 plus spot lights and data pts etc.. Going to change a few things as they charge $168 per cat 6 data when my colleague building with First style charges only $99 through Clipsal also.. Will drag on as I am not happy with the electrical consultant from AC AS she offers no good advise like her team. So will wait for her to follow up before I send in my change requests Re: KDR - Allcastle Homes Grandworth 45 MK2 38May 14, 2018 1:30 pm yeah $168 was high, but was already factored in. we will be doing our own cabling for the upstairs, leaving just the downstairs cabled by them. do not get roped into the nbn hub at $895 i told them no multiple times but they still added it, had to get AC to remove it. we just got battens installed, and will fit lights and downlights after. we end up only spending 8k for the electrical as i already planned it out. the most expensive was the 415v wiring to the garage. The spot lights whilst expensive at $132 each compares to battens $69 , $60 saving isn’t a lot allowance to buy a spot light and ask a sparkle to install it . Savings would be like $20 each or $1000 in comparison. Be interesting to find out where they going to bull crap that they can only terminate data pts into the garage.. I am planning to have both up and downstairs connected so I can have a modem or switch next to my living , theatre or playroom where my tv and Foxtel pts are . ( NBN READY as I only have HFC AVAILABLE) Re: KDR - Allcastle Homes Grandworth 45 MK2 40May 14, 2018 1:47 pm we terminated to upstairs linen, no garage for me. we had spotlights points provisioned basically an all weather box. we will just get the cabler to do it when he comes to do the upstairs wiring won't cost much. we already have the spotlights so won't need to pay for that. we did have a variation to have the NBN terminate into the upstairs linen so that is $250ish. but yeah they didn't mention you couldn't terminate into the upstairs linen. we did get two all weather datapoints under the eaves for the cameras later. one thing that is a rip off is the timber noggin they charge 250each. Hi we are looking to talk to people who have built with them recently. We have signed mid range built contract but identified that a lot of things are not included.… 0 1550 Was the offer also on their website?
