Would it be as simple as buying more batts and placing them ontop? Hi Gi We had done during the build in the ceiling - glad we did, our inspector had problems checking the roof space to make sure it was all done due to all the air con tubes etc, a very tight fit. Not sure how our Electrician is going to navigate it all next week to do our lighting!!!! We did the wall Insulation ourself at frame stage though. Did you go higher than R4.0 for the roof? No we installed the R4.0 Re: Insulation 7Jun 06, 2018 8:12 pm From what i was told, you'll have issues getting anything post R2.5 in through the man-hole, i upgraded mine from R2.5 to R4.1 and had a thermofoil blanket installed with a couple of whirlybirds and vents in the eaves. Hey guys building a new place through a volume builder and just wondering if i should complain to the site supervisor as we just had plasterboard installed. Looks like… 0 11255 1000000% definitely add insulation. I have in my home and it makes a big difference minimising sound transfer. Insulation is pretty cheap and definitely worth it 2 6174 |
