You still have a decent area adjacent to the pool and an additional side area ie. a 10m X 3m section outside the kitchen which could also have a trampoline/ Cubby / swing set and the like if needed. Hey SteveMC... Yeah true but it might be better if we flip the house. What do you think of the below?? Does it work better, pool against the house/living room with big windows? Pools with solar heating can cope and are often better or of direct sunlight. Opinions differ there though. I think either of the above options would be similar. Just stuck on what is the best layout on looks etc. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Help on backyard - are we making the right choice of hou 6May 08, 2018 6:21 pm Well, in that case it's a matter of personal preference. We are just torn on which option will look better for a landscaping perspective. IE: WIth the first option the pool is next to the alfresco which means there is a fence 1m away from the alfresco which might make it feel a bit small. The second option the pool is against the house and the alfresco opens up to the grass.. Will that look better. It's our first house so looking for what other people think Re: Help on backyard - are we making the right choice of hou 8May 09, 2018 8:58 am All other things being equal I prefer the updated option. Also, if the pool is right up against the house, you could have a large window to the ground looking out onto the pool and that would be amazing! We will go with flipped and comparmse on the sides i think. Also checking with other design options. Thanks for responding !
