Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Valeco first time build North Brisbane 12May 03, 2018 8:44 pm ours is about 7.5 month timeframe - two story though. I think 6 months is reasonable. Typically most finish before the allotted time.. In saying that we started before xmas and we aren't even at lockup! The single level homes have all been quick, so you'll be fine Re: Valeco first time build North Brisbane 13May 03, 2018 11:15 pm building the dream house is certainly exciting! Congrats Admin stage is usually the hard part. Once in construction, everything will happen rather quickly. Looking forward to see your build Re: Valeco first time build North Brisbane 14May 07, 2018 11:35 am Hi Tashmc, so exciting to be building your home! Welcome haha. Cant wait to see your plan and when you go to selections - that was so exciting for us! As others have stated, Valeco is quite varied in their build times and customer experience. I think its well known now that the company are having some troubles with their site supervisors. We are building a modified Moreton 24, and so far could not have asked for a better experience. We love our SS, he is great with communication and so organised! We have often found him on our block cleaning the site from rubbish himself when no trades are there. We are just starting week 8 and are 'Unofficially' Locked out and were notified by our SS that we are about 6 weeks from finishing. I dare say though, that we just got lucky. it must be incredibly frustrating for other builds on Homeone. I wish you all the best and hope you have a great experience! Re: Valeco first time build North Brisbane 16May 07, 2018 2:57 pm pretty happy with the plans we only had minor changes, sliding door direction on the side wall, and removed cupboards above the oven to have an open range hood. added a skylight into the ensuite and above the kitchen island and oven, but other then that it was just electrical changes. just waiting for our colour appointment now. Thank you breebarter, I have seen your build is progressing nicely, you definitely have a great SS. How long did they say in your contract your build would take? Thanks Our build time was 182 days or 6 months. Our estimated completion was meant to be 25th September.. Our SS told us straight away it would likely be 1-2months prior to that, Re: Valeco first time build North Brisbane 20May 07, 2018 7:04 pm Looks great! Absolutely love the skylights, wish we'd have thought of that! Thanks NativeZen! I can't wait to start landscaping, though it's going to be a while away yet. No movement on site yet as of the weekend. Hoping to see some earthworks… 3 2150 Can anyone give me any onfo on New Homes WA?
