Hi. We're designing a new house and there are large window sections (almost floor to ceiling) so like 2.3m high from floor in a 2.7m high ceiling. There are certain windows that have a fixed panel and a side panel which can either be louvres or awning.
My question is what to go with - louvres or awning? What are the pros and cons of using one or the other?
An example is: A window of 1.5m wide by 2.3m tall .. will have a 450mm section that will be louvres or awning, the balance will be fixed glass.
I'm just thinking louvres may look nice, but a bit hard to keep clean (also how sealed are they when closed?) as opposed to using awning, which will open too far near the ground as these are floor-to ceiling ..
Any other points i should think of?
