Mine are white Almost Handover - Valeco Homes - Polished Concrete + Monochr 463Apr 30, 2018 9:12 pm Hope the covers can be changed Re: Almost Handover - Valeco Homes - Polished Concrete + Mon 466May 01, 2018 12:42 pm breebarter Hope the covers can be changed Yes, I'm 99% sure they are just temporary covers that you remove. The yellow would be such an eyesore if it was permanent. It’s a good idea to get the vacuum onto them to get any extra dust after you move in. Wish someone had told me so we didn’t wake up to screaming smoke detectors at 3am! Building our forever home! We're just waiting on the bank to make final payment. Drove past this morning to check out our front garden.. very happy with it. I couldn't get any other angles as there was a ute parked in front of the house. Looks like they still need to replace the window hood though. Why couldn't it stay the beautiful light, muted yellow that it was. I'm loving the colour combo. Did Valeco do your landscaping as well? Everything looks fricken awesome Re: Almost Handover - Valeco Homes - Polished Concrete + Mon 470May 18, 2018 7:10 pm gr8ly looks great staceyrussell - looks like they fixed up the portico timber as well. We changed all of the suggested plants and picked our own after visiting the Oxley nursery. We have: Calathea Lutea False Cardamom Edible Pandan Calathea Zebrina Zantedeshia Arum Lily Re: Almost Handover - Valeco Homes - Polished Concrete + Mon 471May 18, 2018 7:53 pm looks so so good.. i have no idea what those plants are, but they look great haha! you literally have nothing left to do now. We didn't include landscaping so we'll be doing ours for months and months i bet Re: Almost Handover - Valeco Homes - Polished Concrete + Mon 472May 18, 2018 8:31 pm staceyrussell Hey! Pretty slow. Haha. But, they have almost finished the alfresco. So all that is left, I think, is the door infills and some external painting (and landscaping, though I think this can be done after PCI?) We were expecting a call late last week for a PCI date but we didnt hear anything. I assume this means it will be next week. It’s been a while since I’ve logged in but Wow! It all looks amazing! We moved in about two months ago and we are so happy with our Valeco home. All problems eventually got fixed or we came to a happy medium. Just finished fitting out our butlers pantry! Love everything about our house! You must be busting with excitement! Enjoy your new beautiful home ! Oh, that's super awesome to hear that Valeco have fixed all your issues! <3 Would love to see your butlers pantry!! I'm SO excited! Like, I want to drive to the house every. damn. day. And I cannot stop looking at photos of the house. Hoping we have keys in the next few days, although our move will be relatively slow. We need everything setup before moving in so that my partners business doesn't have any down-time (works from home). Plus our current rental lease ends in July sometime, so we have time to take things slowly instead of rushing. Re: Almost Handover - Valeco Homes - Polished Concrete + Mon 474May 20, 2018 4:22 pm You can count the days now Stacey! Re: Almost Handover - Valeco Homes - Polished Concrete + Mon 476May 27, 2018 8:24 pm Did you get keys Stacey!? Re: Almost Handover - Valeco Homes - Polished Concrete + Mon 477May 28, 2018 7:29 pm breebarter Did you get keys Stacey!? Not yet We had some delays with the paperwork/bank.. just waiting on final payment to transfer and will then hopefully hear from our SS for handover. I'm crossing my fingers for sometime this week. Re: Almost Handover - Valeco Homes - Polished Concrete + Mon 478May 31, 2018 8:16 pm Guess who just got assigned a new Site Supervisor.... /eyeroll. I was at the house this evening to water the plants when a Valeco ute pulled up and a guy I had never met before hops out. Introduced himself and said he was taking over our build. We had no idea. He asked a few questions about what we were up to in the build (lucky I was there to chat to him). Our bank has made final payment however it turns out there are still defects that havent been rectified since our PCI which was 5 weeks ago as of tomorrow. /facepalm The new SS was lovely though and is going to call me tomorrow with an update. He wants to get us in asap. Hopefully he can. Re: Almost Handover - Valeco Homes - Polished Concrete + Mon 479May 31, 2018 9:50 pm wtf?! what's left to do? i thought you were about to move in. what defects need to be fixed? Im angry for you - unacceptable they are taking their time! hope your S/S will get these fixed ASAP. But there could be more for all we know. I'm concerned that because of the SS changeover that our last SS probably didn't finish everything. We have no way of knowing because we haven't been back inside. Our last SS never contacted us to say it was all completed though. We just assumed they were waiting on payment to clear. The new one wasn't exactly sure what else was left. It makes me wonder if he has our private inspector list of defects. Maybe I'm freaking out and the window hood is actually the only thing left. Will hopefully find out tomorrow. Yes, unless you are in a low intensity rainfall area or the area is protected from rain. Do you have access to NCC Part 2 or can you download it? I can email you a copy… 10 12847 The concreter will take and reuse. In my case I bought structural LVLs and scraped them back and used them as joists. 1 5382 |
