Option 1 - Dowell Thermaline windows and doors for full house as per Basix, 21.5k + gst with not fly screen. Option 2 - Trend windows, standard windows 6.38 and 6.5 and quantum series sliding doors. 19k+gst with no fly screen. With revised Basix. Back and forth from few thermaline supplier and finally dowell has reasonable price. Trying to convince my buildier to go with Dowell thermaline. Anything else? Ed
And what about price wise? the difference between the 3 (awning, louvres, casement) .. We have the same dilemma- large window, high ceilings- 3.7m. Don’t want to disturb the view of the pool. May go for the vertical mullions to save $$$. Who are you building with? We may be near neighbors 😀 Re: Large windows - Fixed Glass and Louvre or Awning? 15May 01, 2018 9:23 am We got couple of quotes and the louvres are adding about $4k more overall which is not much.. I much prefer a full Louvre panel than awning with a break and sash in the middle.. Dude I'm trying to organize things myself, I'm a partial between an owner builder and a builder.. Not certain though, worth checking up on price if you like it. One of their designs doubles as a pool safety fence and we were going to use it as our pool came right up against the side of our house. But then we had to change that part of our design. Was a shame, would have looked amazing! Re: Large windows - Fixed Glass and Louvre or Awning? 20May 01, 2018 2:49 pm Coming soon from EcoEco... awnings and casements with no visible frame... and bifold doors too... This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17960 |
