The water proofing should be done before our tile meeting which is booked for Tuesday 24th. Re: Individual Design - New Choice Homes 229Apr 19, 2018 11:06 am Ah I wish I'd known about hamper drawers! They are an excellent idea - were they expensive to incorporate? I'm wondering whether we can get a cabinet maker in later to try and adjust the cupboards we have.... Re: Individual Design - New Choice Homes 231Apr 19, 2018 12:29 pm I have paid the deposit on our carpet today so can cross that decision of our to-do-list. We found that some carpets are available in 4m wide rolls which eliminates joins in the minor bedrooms and reduces waste which means better carpet for less. We are putting Charcoal in the 3 minor rooms and after much debate decided to do the master the same as its suits our bedroom furniture. We will have a Ash Grey (which can be seen in middle of the side by side floor board pic) in the office and the thearte to suit our black leather lounge. Re: Individual Design - New Choice Homes 234Apr 19, 2018 1:56 pm My partner and I had many discussions regarding carpet or vinyl in our room but we ended up the other way and went with vinyl due to less dust and all that. My in-laws have younger children than us and one has had vinyl floor for a few years, it is very practical and looks good. Going to love trying out the new Electrolux comfort lift dishwasher 😍😍😍, early mothers day gift or just long overdue for those over 173cm tall and nearing ? Also getting a new Westinghouse fridge as the old one has seen better days (amazing what damage little kids and toys can do to your fridge) plus have been wanting the model with the water filter and ice maker. Also managed to stretch the budget for the pantry fridge/freezer, the old one that died was just a fridge so the extra freezer space will be a welcome addition. How’d your tile meeting go? Re: Individual Design - New Choice Homes 240Apr 30, 2018 9:38 am The tile meeting was very detailed, I went solo as I was not expecting to have to make any more decisions, hahaha. I raised our vanities by 50mm as we find the standard height too low however this meant the nib wall tiling would not look how I envisioned and after a busy day at work my problem solving brain needed time to reset. Lucky our SS is very understanding and said to let him know Thursday if I had any reservations and I did, ended up seeing the tiler again on Friday to discuss my ideas and have sent my confirnation email to our CL this morning. The floor tiling has been started in the laundry and probably somewhere else however that is all we could see through the glass on Friday arvo. Hopefully the stone will go in this week so that the tiling can continue. Hi there! Putting the feelers out there for those who have (or almost) built with Arli homes!
