Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10743Apr 04, 2018 2:24 pm Nicolle Thanks BrownDog77. hmmm will be interesting to see whether PCI will go ahead Friday. I just can’t wait for this to be over. Coral have sucked the whole way through for us. Although reading this thread we have kind of had an ok run compared to some others. Your welcome everything crossed PCI goes ahead & well are you NSW? Yes we can’t really complain compared to others and still within our 216 day build at moment... but def won’t be signing at PCI unless all things rectified Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10745Apr 04, 2018 2:43 pm Yes NSW, mid North Coast. Our Contract ends 5 May so we are still within time.... just... still ridiculous considering we are only building a 23sq single level home, and have had hardly any rain delays!! Do they install the hotwater tank prior to PCI or after so it isn’t their prob if it gets stolen? Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10746Apr 04, 2018 2:47 pm Nicolle Yes NSW, mid North Coast. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10748Apr 04, 2018 3:01 pm browndog77 ill give it a go! Hubby said he'll make it fit!!!!! 🤤🙈 We are doing half of our pantry ourselves - the other half is just shelving 😊 Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10749Apr 04, 2018 3:31 pm Nicolle Yes NSW, mid North Coast. Our hot water tank is already in yes that’s why you need yr own insurance from pci so that everything is covered as Coral no longer do I wouldn’t sign pci though if no hot water tank as house isn’t per contract I agree our homes the same & no rain days & we haven’t varied plan and it’s still taken forever & incorrect don’t worry our outdoor fan has been running 4days straight now hope it’s on Cs electricity bill & not ours 🤞 Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10750Apr 04, 2018 9:03 pm Oh no about fan! Our front light was turned on for the whole long weekend and I thought that was bad enough! Are Coral paying for the electricity? I had to connect and start an account and have been billed since the build started ! Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10751Apr 04, 2018 9:13 pm Nicolle Oh no about fan! Oh no for you I hope they are paying we turned off at fuse box (I never thought of it neighbour did) I tried to change elec provider as it’s AGL & they are the worst & couldn’t as not in our name Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10752Apr 05, 2018 2:12 pm Wow so we are another 6 weeks away from completing it was estimated that defects will take 4-6 but site supervisor suspects it will be more 6 weeks. That will be 5 months over contract and 62 weeks since they began our build! We were told that they have to give their contractors who built our home the chance to fix defects and if they refuse then they have to go through a process to get their money back and then find someone else to fix it omfg!!!! But I believe they would be very similar if not nearly the same??? We have wallaby around the garage, so garage door is surfmist too. And a pic please. They are talking of cutting hole in stone to put mixer but the mixer would come through underneath of breakfast bar if this happens hoping they would realise this before they cut Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10760Apr 06, 2018 8:33 pm Not sure what to do anymore coral homes won’t give us a time frame in writing as to when defects will be rectified how did we ever have pci if it was going to take 6 or so weeks to fix. We are just beyond gutted! You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14099 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13769 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4335 |
