You know that’s what sh!ts me. Same thing happened with us- you tell the ss stuff as soon as you see it, and for some unknown reason they let it go... until the end when there’s a big hold up! Part of me wonders if they just hope you’ll let it go to get in! Tell me about it now we have to wait another so many unknown weeks for this to be fixed. Our site supervisor that did the walk through didn’t even have site plans on him So disappointing for you I think they hope it will all be too hard & you will just give up too as you want to move in we had a broken pipe outside under ground since before slab pour & yep never fixed or checked since first mentioned & with all the rain it’s now evident (thank goodness) as I’m sure it would’ve just been disguised under dirt & never checked.I sent our CSO pics of our IT Hub & someone else’s & apparently neither of them are how they should actually be .... Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10704Mar 31, 2018 7:37 am Brown dog I just don’t get why they leave it all till it’s too late it infuriates me!!! I don’t get it! We have to contact our solicitor because I’m not accepting being $10k out of pocket because of them. The emotional roller coaster is just incredible. My kids are sleeping in beds that are no bigger than their bodies and they are 10 &5 they keep telling us that we are not entitled to know the reasons why our build has gone over which I think is just rubish! If they take 4 or so weeks to fix all this it will be 60 weeks to build one home! I really hope you have an awesome win with your solicitor even though it’s not going to relieve the emotional stress you & yr fam have had to endure at least it will be something Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10706Mar 31, 2018 7:46 am BrownDog77 Ryan2007 Brown dog I just don’t get why they leave it all till it’s too late it infuriates me!!! Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10707Mar 31, 2018 7:51 am It annoyed us that when we had something wrong we got the same answer - don’t worry mate we will fix at the end! [/quote]Very poor workmanship, not up to scratch seems miles out, can I ask how in the world they are going to stop wood from twisting warping etc with it been so close to water, I've never seen wood so near water. I have just measured and it is 2cm smaller from wall to wall.. will they do anything about this??? 🤦🏼♀️ Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10716Apr 02, 2018 6:04 pm StephLee Help with internal sizing! It says 3500 on plan, so annoying because this was specifically asked for at contract stage for this reason How did you reconfigure pax? There is only 1m and .5m options that I know of... I asked for our niche to be 350mm high, thinking they would make that the final measurement after plaster and tiles but unfortunately it’s not. It’s a real shame when you specifically ask for something and it’s not what you get. Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10719Apr 02, 2018 6:26 pm xjanex StephLee Help with internal sizing! I literally have an email saying it needs to be 3500 to fit our wardrobe fit out, and the consultant didn’t say you need to allow 2cm for plasterboard how would we possibly know that 🤬 so now I’ll have to pay an extra $1000+ to get a custom wardrobe fit out grrrrrrr Re: Coral Homes general build thread 10720Apr 03, 2018 7:44 am StephLee xjanex StephLee Help with internal sizing! Ours is a u shape so we have put in a 1m in middle and the new cnr units either side and then ran another down each side, I will put shelves on any spare walls for shoes & we will pack it out to fill gaps if needed at front where noticeable or see if space big enough to utilise for something else. It is frustrating ikea have also changed their cnr units since we first planned this which is a shame but it will still be much better and cheaper than any option C could give us You should check your detail drawings, it may show downpipe within brick pier. 14 14372 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 14636 In Qld it is a requirement that a builder must have a cost breakdown, for building a home to the same specification, with the same inclusions and the same finish. So ask… 1 4621 |
