We will be spending a lot of time in there doing hobby stuff like: Bicycle cleaning and maintenance Airbrushing Electronics 3D Printing Oh as well as parking some cars in there I guess..... I'd love suggestions on what I can do, I don't really want to paint it or put sealer down. Thinking more of a rubber tile or something that can take cars as well as spills.. I'd love to have a go at my decking - but I think for quality and longevity, I'll get a tradie in. Ill be doing all my own window covering installing, turf, fencing and landscaping. Another DIY project id love to have a go at is to install a timber panel feature wall behind our TV's - both in the lounge and media rooms. Also - making use of our roof space - not sure how to go about putting a floor up there for storage or something. Do you do that during the build?? So it got me to thinking about using attic ladders to get to the roof space, it can range from $200 to $2000 at Bunnings and from the videos it looks easy to do.. You can also even convert it into living space. But obviously seek a professional's opinion if you are unsure. Re: Projects to do after New Home Handover- Garage Roof Stor 19May 03, 2018 2:53 pm Hi I 've had a few enquiries about getting extra light weight storage area into the garage So I have detailed where to add some Structural Trusses or Beams above the ceiling joists in a pitched roof over the garage, approx 7m2, 1m max height , load 100Kgs/m2 (1KPa) max Cost wise the prices for materials Ranges from $80/m2 to $120/m2 Labour Excluded The trusses illustrated are DIY in 2 parts for easy handling and installing after handover, alternatively it's easier to get full length Proprietary Trusses up before the roof & ceiling goes in Please let me know if your require a BIM model/details for alternate truss roofs and propriety Span tables Cheers Chris Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Designer,Engineer (Civil,Const & Envir),Builder,Concrete & Masonry Contract.Struct Repairs Re: Projects to do after New Home Handover 20May 04, 2018 1:19 pm sorry for the stupid question, but can this be done after build? 0 2013 Any advice on a builder in NSW who is demanding an extra 22000k after the house is completed and contract paid in full .Standard HIA contract.
