Browse Forums Paving & Concreting Re: Concrete path around house query 2Mar 07, 2018 9:33 am Sarahxox Hi have recently got a concrete path done around my house on the garage side. Compliance wise it sits >7.5cm below seep holes but the slope doesnt really appear to slope away from the house. It slopes more downwards per the block of lands natural slope. I'm wondering if this is fine from a drainage standpoint and it appears if it were to rain that it would drain downwards towards the driveway? Is this considered compliant with the 1:20 sloping required? Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ If you didn't already I would get a building surveyor to report on this to check compliance. As long as surface water is being directed away from the house (albeit, in a downward/back direction not outward) then you should be ok from a performance perspective. How is the concrete performing now? Any pooling etc? Just my two cents. You might want someone to check your vinyl, the red of the floor and the way the vinyl has torn, it would be the right age to be asbestos vinyl.
