Tiles, tiles and more tiles. 311Feb 27, 2018 12:13 pm ![]() Ss has brought out PCI forward!! Eek!! It’s getting too real, holy f***!! We will have our own house in a matter of weeks, we are adults!!! When did I become an adult??? Tiler finishing up today. Glass splash back and shower screens measured today. Electrical and plumbing starting Monday. And all the other things I didn’t listen to ss when he was telling me, I was trying to get my head around moving PCI forward!!! We have been thinking we are going to go over contract, it’s going to take forever. We are getting screwed majorly, but they seem to have made up time and then some. Still wouldn’t use them again though, the bad still outweighs the good. Re: Daydream 30. Tiles, tiles and more tiles. 312Feb 27, 2018 12:30 pm ![]() Not often things get brought closer when building! But the way somethings have been handled is unacceptable to me when I am spending nearly 300k with them. The last few weeks things have been flying by, still a few hiccups but it’s moving faster than we expected it too. I’m sure in a few months we will look back and laugh at why we were so stressed, but not yet ![]() ![]() Re: Daydream 30. Tiles, tiles and more tiles. 314Mar 02, 2018 8:44 pm Went out to the house this afternoon. No one on site, like normal. From what we could see all our tiles are finished, some even grouted. Our ensuite vanity was finally installed, both bathroom bench tops and sinks installed as well. Only photos I’ve got are from our private inspectors report. Bathroom looks ![]() ![]() Next week is a big week!! Appliances are getting delivered Monday, I’ll take our pedant lights up as well. Plumbing fit off should be done as well. The end is near!!! Plumbing & Electrical fit off 316Mar 06, 2018 6:27 am Week 14 (Week 17 since we started on site, minus 3 weeks for xmas)
From the day we bought our appliances, we were told when they get delivered, the sparky will be onsite and install them straight away. Our sales consultant, our 2 head office people and also our ss said this to us. He even went as far as to say he would be on site when they were installed. Fast forward to last weeks weekly email, he asked for our appliances and pendant lights delivered on Monday for sparky to put in, if it couldn't be Monday, as early as possible Tuesday. Spoke with Domayne to organised it for Monday, paid extra because it wasn't the day they went to our area, it was a special delivery etc etc. Everything was sweet, until I ring my ss yesterday to say 'hey they will be there between 11-1, they will call me 45 minutes before hand blah blah' To which he replied 'Oh I'll send the plumber around to unlock the back door, just leave them in the garage and lock up once your done' WHAT THE????????? I am so over this! Why tell me one thing and do the absolute opposite. So I took a ton of photos of where they were, the condition they are in and if anything happens to them, its on them, they should have been there to install them. I'm just lucky I dont work Mondays, I would be so annoyed if I had to days off work to deal with coral. Tiles still aren't finished, WIP, WIL, WIR, study and half our main bath aren't done. The lounge room area has been grouted but that's it. They seriously just open a door/window and throw the rubbish out of it. As much as we are ready to move out of my mother in laws house, we won't be accepting a terrible job. I have been around building sites my whole life, 1 brother is a carpenter, the other a plumber plus my dad is the handiest man I know, he renovated our whole house while we were growing up and hubster is a Painter and Decorator by trade( something we haven't told coral, so they better be on top of the painting :lol ![]() If you made it this far, well done, have some bonus photos ![]() Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The long white boxes are our pedant lights ![]() Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: Daydream 30. Plumbing & Electrical fit off 317Mar 06, 2018 6:38 am Don't you hate this sort of carry on. We had our painters back five times. Then on one occasion we get told the guy isn't even a painter he just does prep - makes ya blood boil. We supplied our own dishwasher and had to gove measurements and the hole was still too big - they had to come back and put a piece on our kitchen - sloppy work aye Re: Daydream 30.
