Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Crown Hill Estate Riverstone 11Feb 26, 2018 1:38 pm M.Rodgers Hi all, we bought early last year in stage 2. Was told registration would be mid last year, then late last year, then early this year, 2018. Just had an email from our agent saying it is now expected in May! Has anyone been told differently. It is taking a ridiculous amount of time! We just want it done so the build can start. Hi M.Rodgers, I got an email from Castlehaven Projects saying that registration for stage 2 will be in April 2018. We were hoping for March but it got dragged back by another month. The only consolation however is that this was formal correspondence so practical completion must've been reached. We too are in the same boat - Bought it early last year, was waiting for Nov 2017 registration and here we are now. Not too long to go now though! Re: Crown Hill Estate Riverstone 12Feb 26, 2018 1:41 pm Thanks for the update, good to hear it should be close, only a couple of months more to wait. Just out of curiosity have you started the process with your chosen builder or are you waiting for registration first? Kind regards M.Rodgers Re: Crown Hill Estate Riverstone 13Feb 26, 2018 1:42 pm SamVebs Thanu Hi Sam, Thanks for getting in touch. Glad to meet another neighbour Which road are you on? We're on Gold St. I went to check out the estate yesterday and work is coming along well. Water main works along William St seem to be in progress and the fencing around the stormwater basin is ongoing too. Hoping to hear some updates from my agent as the countdown is on and we should be registered soon *fingers crossed*. Any updates on your end? Hi Thanu, We are on Foxall street in Stage 2. My friend in Stage 1 said they have registration by end of this month and Stage 2 will have in early April 2018. Is there anyone from Stage 1 here who can confirm this news. Kind regards, Hi Sam, I was curious to see what was going on with Stage 1. Registration for them was to happen last year in June I think! It's good to see that the adjacent block is now under construction too. I'm hoping that construction on the park at the corner of Sandra St and William St will commence soon too. Re: Crown Hill Estate Riverstone 14Feb 26, 2018 1:48 pm M.Rodgers Thanks for the update, good to hear it should be close, only a couple of months more to wait. Just out of curiosity have you started the process with your chosen builder or are you waiting for registration first? Kind regards M.Rodgers We've started the process where we've had our external colour appointment and the plans have been drafted. We're yet to pay the 5% deposit in order for the plans to be submitted to Blacktown City Council (BCC) as they can approve plans whilst registration is taking place in parallel. I think we might just do this mid next month after consultation with our lender. The advantage is that if the plans are approved between now and by the time registration takes place, you're that much quicker for construction to begin. To date if you're going through CDC, it takes 4 weeks for approval. Not sure if that's changed recently though. How about you? Re: Crown Hill Estate Riverstone 15Feb 26, 2018 2:43 pm We just started the tender process this past weekend, hopefully the D.A is ready to submit to council late April / early May. Does anyone know what the street names are now or where we can see them? Kind regards M.Rodgers Re: Crown Hill Estate Riverstone 18Mar 06, 2018 4:26 pm Thanu kayteapea We bought land in stage 1 back in Feb 2016. ..originally told land rego was late 2016...the update as of 3 weeks ago is late jan/ early feb. Bad news for anyone wanting to flatten their back yard...as we're building in a "growth area" council only allows 500mm of cut / fill, and we need that much just to flatten the slab area...slopped back yard here we come Hey kayteapea, Has your land reached registration yet? We went to check out the progress last weekend and noticed that the site fencing was still up. Hi Thanu, As Katie said we have been waiting for over 2 years now! The last update we had for stage 1 was late Jan and that has come and gone! I just spoke with the guy we bought the section from and he said Stage 1 is with Land Titles. We are have been waiting and hoping for so long, fingers crossed for before the end of March! Once anyone sees the fences down can you please post on here. Its an hours drive from where we are so a long drive to still see fences Josh Re: Crown Hill Estate Riverstone 19Mar 06, 2018 4:58 pm HI Josh, fences are still up, but on weekdays during work hours they are open and you can drive in. Not sure if you are allowed, but I have been in several times recently. No-one says anything, that's if anyone is even there. Progress is happening, but there's not really much to see. My agent said registration is due to be done by mid May! So a while to go still. Re: Crown Hill Estate Riverstone 20Mar 07, 2018 8:17 am Hi Josh, Welcome to the thread and thanks for joining the discussion. Sadly the fences are still up but good to know that we're at LPI for stage 1. I go weekly so I'll let you know when they're finally offsite @M.Rodgers - I had no idea that registration for stage 2 was pushed out to May! I've been told that it'd be April, either mid or late. According to my agent BCC haven't visited stage 2 as yet for sign off. Thanu Howdy all. I am looking for feedback on what people would do to maximise and make an area as flat as possible.
