If im given a full report as to where the costs are going i will feel a lot better about going through with the contract, and possibly even get a quote from a separate out source company to see what they come up with too. Re: Site works cost! 14Feb 20, 2018 1:16 pm We are about to build nearby Midland and nearby the river - reactive soil and clay involved - so possibly need C5 footing. Haven't started site works yet. The provisional amount kept aside now is 25k for sitecosts + 2.4 k for stormwater connection.
Edit: Actually Stormwater connection is 2.4K.. The lot also has BAL 12.5, which is the 4.7K. Yes, it can be quite hefty depending on the type of soil... BAL 19, soil type A, D10 engineering details. I think the amount is overpriced but not too sure what we need to do as we want the building to start ASAP. We signed our contract in June last year, land title released on 1st of October, settlement was on 16th of October but till now no building permit as yet. Fair Trading can issue orders to rectify and complete but once the matter goes to NCAT these orders are automatically vacated.
