On the way out my SS phoned me and i met up with him on site. I've managed to change the direction of the shoppers entry door. Currently it was opening into the garage but now it will be opening into the house. Very happy. Unfortunately someone has stolen a connection for my tap so we are waiting for a plumber to drop that off. SS thinks that 18-20 weeks i should be in but will give me a firmer date when we are at the tiling stage.. Day four of bricks, they've added an internal wall, more height and secondary bricks to 90% of the house. Termite treatment also done. Re: First Build with Summit Perth WA 131Feb 17, 2018 10:01 am 18-20 weeks? Wow that's quick! We are at 23 now and still another week or 2 until PCI which will put us to like 6 months from slab down by the time we get the keys Find my build thread here: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=88694&f=31&p=1729530#p1729530 Re: First Build with Summit Perth WA 132Feb 17, 2018 1:07 pm [quote="just_a_draftee"]18-20 weeks? It sucks that you guys have had a delay with your PCI and keys i am hoping somewhere along the line they can fast track it for you! My neighbour by the time they get in will be 7.5/8 months Re: First Build with Summit Perth WA 133Feb 17, 2018 1:16 pm Oh, so about 22-26 weeks total then? Guess we will have a similar build time after all then! Hope you guys don't get too many delays. 8 months for a single storey? Ouch, that's rough. Yep exactly most houses from what i can tell are going up in roughly 4.5-6 months. If the weather holds & there is no delays with trades i am quite hopeful it will be done in the 22 week time frame. For my SS to have already given me a time frame he mustn't be too concerned, i didn't even ask haha!. If my build for a single storey took 8 months i don't think i would have hair left! But that must be the price you pay by getting your own trades in throughout. Re: First Build with Summit Perth WA 135Feb 17, 2018 6:21 pm Day 4.5 of bricks...i say 4.5 as i know the brickies were knocked off a little earlier yesterday. Also noticed that i have a new water meter. Still have the garage & front bedroom to do plus most of the internal walls. Still hoping they can be done by end of next week to start some electrical/render the following. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Internal walls up for laundry and main bathroom/toilet wall. Re: First Build with Summit Perth WA 138Feb 19, 2018 11:42 pm Choosy Making great progress, lucky Friday arvo was only light rain. They are doing a fabulous job. I think the cooler weather is definitely helping with productivity. I am looking forward to seeing the front of the house finally go up to complete the look but from what i can see now i am quite happy with room sizing etc. Awesome to see your build progressing, won't be long until you have yourself a roof! Re: First Build with Summit Perth WA 139Feb 21, 2018 10:59 pm Went out today to find them almost done! My brother went past in the morning and came back in the arvo and was quite amazed at how much more they had accomplished. If they don't have this finished by friday arvo or monday morning at the latest i would be quite surprised. Also, i am very happy for the other people in the estate also building with summit who have had a start on their bricks. I bet they are super stoked tonight!
