Great to see your home updates gio ... Looks like you're all done or thereabouts! We are about to start. Moved out of our home last week and have stripped the house down. Asbestos removal this week, demo next week....hopefully. Our contract was done in Jan and came up to just over 600k. I feel like we over did it in a few areas...that price doesn't include color tech throughout, just the kitchen and galley! Also doesn't include carpet or flooring, which was a credit! Happy to share any info people are after. I wonder if we'll finish in 6 months as well. Doubt it though! PS: Anyone notice the $5k promotion for a 5.6kw solar and Tesla powerwall2? Left a message with our BC to see if we can jump on that action. It's about $19k retail for the same system! Suspect it is for new sales only Something to keep in mind with Tesla battery, you will need to replace the battery every 6-8yrs. Over time the performance of the battery will degrade. The 5.6kw is good enough and highly recommend it. My bro in law just got his installed for $21K. Am also thinking getting it later this year. Interesting about the battery life...the specs show 10 year warranty for the power wall 2, so they must be improving. If they die after that time, then you need to be saving over $1000 every year in power bills to make it worth it! Some stages Darbecca was slightly more expensive for but cheaper if you bundle some of the stages, and for others NHI was more expensive Went with Darbecca due to reputation and have found them to be quite good Re: Porter Davis - Madison 40 379Feb 19, 2018 5:29 pm I'm off to a flier. Someone stole our water meter...that's right, our water meter, sometime on Friday. Need to lodge a police report to get a new one from south east water. Our mistake...the temporary fencing was behind it, not in front of it, but seriously, who does that!!! On the bright side, we have a tap connected to the mains directly because the demo and asbestos guys need it. So free water at our place! So free water at our place! that is just ridiculous, what on earth are they going to do with a water meter? Is it like winding back the odometer on a car? swap the meter every month to reduce your water bill? Three options 1 Ask the liquidator 2 Find another PD customer and ask the source of their report 3 Pay for new report 3 12320 |
