Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building Mainvue Aegean430 - 45sq in Berwick Waters 216Feb 10, 2018 5:23 pm Firstabode Oh wow, now I have to really re-evaluate that desire haha. So because I made a deposit in January, I was able to lock in the old price before the recent price increase in Feb. The difference is only $5k and now they are including double glazed windows to the entire house with the new price. I asked my sales consultant how much double glazing would be to the entire house as an upgrade if I stuck to the old price and she quoted around $8k... I'm not entirely convinced that is true. Did you upgrade to double glazing to all your windows? Double glazing was included in the promotion I received, along with upgrade to 6 star heating and 48 downlights. I had changed to this in September 2016 from a previous promotion in May, which worked out cheaper despite the higher base price and also saved me from paying the price matrix. I did have the quote for double glazing prior to this and it was around $2k - it’s gone up a lot! We went with a similar style and it looks better than I imagined. Your laundry also looks packed full of cabinets which will likely be quite useful. Thank you SAFA1, the overhead cabinetry in the laundry was a last minute addition, as was the bulkhead so we wouldn’t have the dust collecting issue on them. Hopefully they can fix it without too much problem/damage. I also added another divider underneath, so there’s 3 spaces, one for washer, dryer and a bar sized freezer. Can’t wait to see the stone installed. Our Henley Aegean45 Re: Building Mainvue Aegean430 - 45sq in Berwick Waters 218Feb 10, 2018 8:42 pm Wow! That’s a massive difference. I’m convinced that she’s over quoted me and I’ll get her to look into it properly. She only gave me that figure from the top of her head. I don’t know what I’d do without this forum! It’s already helped me so much to make smarter decisions. I can’t wait to see your build progress even further! I’m excited for you Re: Building Mainvue Aegean430 - 45sq in Berwick Waters 219Feb 13, 2018 7:08 pm Day 147... Met the tiler on site today to go through the tile placement and confirming what goes where. Hopefully he starts sometime this week. Unfortunately some of our electrical cable has been cut out and stolen prior to plaster going in but it wasn’t picked up till yesterday, therefore now we have to wait for the kitchen to go in until they’ve worked out what’s missing and have it repaired. Hoping the patch job they do with junction boxes doesn’t cause any issues down the track. On a positive note, front door and matching theatre doors have been hung. Will look better once they’ve been stained and the black oblong handles installed. I asked my consultant if we could swap the theatre and study around, she replied saying the design team said no as it would compromise structural beams? Obviously it’s possible as you are living proof! I find it so unprofessional that Henley is not being persistent with what they quote and approve for different clients. I’m hoping you can help me out as being able to have the study at the front would just be so much better 😣 go upvc window frames ensure insulation under colorbond. not just sarking, lighter color roof also not sure if you have seen this viewtopic.php?t=5823 last couple of pages… 4 110592 Even if it's not being sub-divided and you want to keep it as Torrens title, you will still need to talk to a town planner or Council themselves, to see if they will allow… 1 11039 |
