The skirting is at the bottom.of the gyprock. My current 10 years house also like that, but aligned properly. Didnt see any issue with it. But yeah, they should align it nicely by at least connect the corner properly. My SS told me that it's how Clarendon install skirting in 75 mm step down "the bottom plate of the frame sits on top of the step down allowing for the skirting to be fixed to metal frame" But it looks weird to me Re: Who's building with Clarendon?? 18367Feb 11, 2018 8:31 pm wentworth33 Its correct skirting. As per this schedule, we'll pay them 60% of the cost with no roof tiles on. What I find tricky is the next payment is due on COMMENCEMENT of stage 5 not completion. So after brickwork (with no roof tiles) and start of Internal Linings we will pay them 90% of the cost. Clarendon have two payment schedules as below. Payment schedule 1 is the default that most people will get. They will give payment schedule 2 if: (a) you go through their broker (who use NAB I think) or (b) your bank requests payment schedule 2. All you need is an email or letter from your bank requesting the payment schedule 2. Payment schedule 1: 5%, 20%, 25%, 20%, 20%, 10% Payment schedule 2: 5%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 25%, 10% Thanks Dand. Clarendon hasn't discussed the second schedule with us. Lender recommended: 10% 15% 20% 20% 15% 10% 10% We have forwarded this to Clarendon and they'll get back to us tomorrow. Let's see which one they choose. They gave us the payment schedule 2. Lender was happy with it. We've already signed the contract and the colors appointment is in 2 weeks. Screw piers are in our contract, however they don't seem to look like pictures I've come across. If you could share a picture of your screw piers that would be helpful! But again, it might be the requirement of the soil what type of piers it needs. I brought this up with Clarendon and they confirmed they were concrete piers-- the onsite engineer confirmed they were fine for our soil. They will provide a refund for the screw piers that were in our contract. Always good to check as who knows if they would have told us! How much extra did they charge if you don't mind me asking? Definitely check, you have every right to know what you're getting. You are the one paying for it.
