Have you guys been advised by your builders how long construction will take? I have heard mixed things about Metricon. Sales people told us 5 months everyone else says expect 8 Re: Anyone building in Plenty Gorge Views estate, South Mor 207Feb 06, 2018 8:43 am Alysha I’m gonna follow up Tuesday next week too which gives them a couple days after council inspection to hear back. It may not be enough to for council to sign off on everything but I want to stay in their face and remind them that we’re all over it and need things done YESTERDAY I will call council on Thursday. Re: Anyone building in Plenty Gorge Views estate, South Mor 208Feb 08, 2018 9:27 am Hi guys I called council today. Unfortunately there is no progress and still those three issues are pending: Practical completion sign off from councils engineers: it is halted because the developer needs to provide council with some documents and updates. Sign off from service authorities for electricity Fees and contributions to be paid The council admin said it all depends on the deeveloper to how quickly sort out these issues. So basically one week is passed and no progress in council made. Re: Anyone building in Plenty Gorge Views estate, South Mor 210Feb 08, 2018 10:57 am No i didn't. I remember Duncan told you that he is hoping to get the certificate of compliance this week, but we can see that this week is also over and we are still far from getting the compliance certificate. This is disappointing. Re: Anyone building in Plenty Gorge Views estate, South Mor 212Feb 08, 2018 2:44 pm While David insists that moremac already paid the fees and there is no engineering part is left, the council informed me that there are more fees to be paid, and some extra engineering tasks to be fixed. It's in addition to Electrical Certificate that both agree on. It seems that Council and David don't have the same status about the job. This may results in further delay Any body else got an update recently? Re: Anyone building in Plenty Gorge Views estate, South Mor 213Feb 08, 2018 3:02 pm I also asked Council if it is possible that their system is not updated correctly and they said:"No, as soon as they pay, the system is getting updated". So if David tell you that the Council'system is not updated, he is not right. Re: Anyone building in Plenty Gorge Views estate, South Mor 214Feb 09, 2018 7:13 am Guys excuse the following rant but.... l!€$ These people are just full of rubbish. MOREMAC is now trying to tell me the site inspection for the electrical that they told me was last Wednesday isn’t actually until next Wednesday and that they were mislead. I think they are the most unprofessional pack of liars the lot of them and I highly doubt any payments have been made because I bet they will be waiting to make sure that is the last thing to happen after all other works are completed. I called to speak to Duncan yesterday and just got the old “he’s in a meeting and will call you back” trick, which of course he never did. I’m in sales and customer service and if I ever treated customers like this they would have gone Crazy! Re: Anyone building in Plenty Gorge Views estate, South Mor 215Feb 09, 2018 7:53 am Hi guy a just got this update re fees There are no fees outstanding - council have not updated their tracking system. In fact one of the fee's that they have noted to you (or someone else) was in fact paid in 2016. There is a contribution which is due at this time - but we are awaiting the issuing of the invoice from Council. This was requested 1.5 weeks ago. Re: Anyone building in Plenty Gorge Views estate, South Mor 219Feb 09, 2018 8:40 am Hey guys just got off the phone to council fees have been paid just waiting for contributions which council said that there was a mistake with the amount and they had to resend it. And there just waiting on Ausnet to go out next Wednesday. She said that we are close. Re: Anyone building in Plenty Gorge Views estate, South Mor 220Feb 09, 2018 9:30 am Hey, just got off the phone to Duncan. Yay!! So apparently the fees were actually paid last October when everything was being finished off, there is a second amount due which moremac has requested invoices for and are yet to receive an actual amount. Duncan is actually out on site at the moment meeting contractors. He was actually pretty nice about it and I worth very forcoming telling him their updates are rubbish and customers shouldn’t be the ones always chasing them. He did assure me that we are his number one priority and they are paying large amounts of interest on money they had to borrow because of the contractor stuff up. It does sound like they are trying to do everything to get this finished because they are losing profits the longer it takes. Once power is on next week that’s pretty much it!
